In the new version of the Guide to Organized Play, it specifically states that there is a list of approved pregens on the Paizo site in the Pathfinder Society section. Is this up yet, and if so, where is it, as I need to forward these to the GM who will be running PSS at my regular venue next month.

I, too, need these pregenerated characters. I am running a Pathfinder Society game this Tuesday for the first time. I'd like it to be a good one.

This line confuses me: "These pregenerated characters are the only pregenerated characters that are legal for play".
If a 1st level character has been built according to Pathfinder RPG core rulebook and Guide to Pathfinder Society Organised Play, shouldn't that qualify it as being legal for play? Should it matter whether you built the character yourself, a friend built it for you, a GM hands you one he'd prepared earlier, or you printed it from a Pathfinder RPG fan website?

I assume that sentence has more to do with pregenerated characters for higher tiers. Yes, a GM or a friend could create a 1st level character using the guidelines and hand it to you. However, no one other than Paizo can create a 4th, 6th, or 8th level character as a stand in for higher level scenarios.

I think the ones at GenCon were for players who didn't understand that the PFS games were part of a 'living' campaign. I had two players at one of my mods with 7th level pregens. They had just played one previous PFS mods. I'm sure Josh will get around to posting the 1st level pregens when he settles down from GenCon.

Ta-da!
SWEET! And talking about timing: I'm being persuaded to run the PFS at an upcoming con (Strategicon/Gateway) and plan to run demos at my FLGS in the near future. Thanks, Joshua! *Takes on deep Chelaxian accent* "I will make sure the succubi...assistants...sent will reward you. Most thoroughly."

Gross. Send me an angel instead.
Sweet. Never knew Scorpion had done ballads. Thanks!
Hmmm. As for Cheliax sending you an... angel (from Spawn).

Scratch that. We're trying to get them up today.
Hi Josh, nice job on the pre-gens :-)
One thing I wondered though, might it have been useful to have provided Melee stats for Valeros' standard attack moments (longsword) in addition to his full-attack (longsword and showrt-sword)? I've run new players through the Adventure Paths using pre-gen Valeros provided in the Adventure Paths, and knowing when to use one weapon and when to use both was something they kept asking, let alone getting the bonuses correct.
Thanks.

I just checked all of them and the initiative modifier is there for all of them. The pre-gens use our standard stat block format. You can locate the initiative modifier just below the alignment-size-monster type line. For example, on Valeros, you see it here:
Valeros
Male human fighter 1
NG Medium humanoid
Init +6; Senses Perception –1
Hope this helps.
