I didn't find much about resting in the book, but there wasn't even a word about the elf's meditation. Is that right? I always thought that to be one of the most important of their racial traits.
In 3.5, trancing was only actually described in the physical description part of the writeup, not in the racial traits. As a result it'd not in the SRD and thus I don't think it's open content, but part of Wizard's Intellectual Property.

Oddly, as someone only recently pointed out to me on these very boards, the SRD version of elves do not have the "trance" trait that 3.5 elves have outside of the SRD. On the other hand, if you are actually playing in Golarion, it is mentioned in Elves of Golarion, so I don't think the intention is to ignore the convention all together, just to have the non-setting RPG book use the SRD as its core.

the trance trade dont seem to be in the core book...but it is mentioned in Elves of Golarion:
page5 of the elves of golarion: "though elves are immune to magical sleep effects, the idea that they never rest is a myth. instead, though they do fall not fall unconscious the way other humanoids do, elves many enter a deep trance(i think it is tecnically the same as sleep taking -10 on perception skill checks)that has the same refreshing effect on the mind. an elf only need to meditat for 4 hours per day, though some prefere longer time"
