Best News to date! I read my email about the partnership, and nearly jumped out of my chair with excitement! I can hardly wait to see the product line!

YEP! About darn time too!

That's great news! I'm a fan of Reaper and Paizo, and (to be honest), crocodile games miniatures were difficult to buy (and rather expensive). I'll still do custom jobs, but to be able to have the exact creature will be fantastic.

The best news I have heard. I'm so happy that pathfinder with have nice mini to go with there game. The best thing is I alredy have a few reaper mini. Ya just a few shelfs of painted mini. Lets not talk about the mound of unpainted ones next to my desk. The only question I have is what style of mini base will thay use? There Warlord or Darkhaven line ?

Dark Archive

Things around here just keep getting better and better!

I should warn you: Eric Mona already posted a thread.

Now if only Reaper can get its act together with their plastic pre-painted job, and get Pathfinder to sign off on plastic pre painted Pathfinder stuff, I, as a man who cannot paint worth a damn, will simply be in haven. Well only if Gwen Stfani is there with me, and into gaming, and only have on.....well never mind.

There, I solved the equation for you.

Now that is something worth persuing! Get them to sneak Pathfinder stuff into the Legendary Encounters line!

I don't know. She has weird hairdos. You can have her. I'll content myself with the female cast from Firefly.

Scarab Sages

Awesome news - I always suspected, reaper minis took a keen intrest in the dungeon magazine APs (especially the savage tide AP, some of their pirate minis were just released / re-released in time for it as well as their terror bird mini) and I saw their new Stone Giant just when I was wondering how to get enough minis for the Fortress of the Stone Giants...so perhaps this isn´t all new ;)

I have to say, it would have been more awesome if it had been citidel, but it is still pretty awesome.

Have to say more awesome... old school citadel is/was cool, but the 21st century stuff seems to "caricatured" for my tastes... just a little too ott

If this was 1985 I'd have been saying pity it wasn't Chronicle Miniatures! [sniff - happy days]

Reaper are a great fit, can't wait to see Tre Manors Ulfen...

I am not that keen on reaper, both on price and quality. While i can see what you mean on the style of many citidel minitures, i have to point out, that even now, they produce a huge number of exceptional, considerably less stylised models.

Sovereign Court

In general, this is awesome news. The Crocodile minis were great, but they couldn't keep up. Reaper minis are also great (my primary source of minis, in fact; in the 80s, I bought Citadel minis, but when I got back into minis and saw Reaper's newer stuff, that was the end of my interest in Citadel).

Sovereign Court

What we need now is a reaper Pathfinder minis subscription.

The Exchange

I like this. I've been buying minis from Reaper for a long time. Excellent combination.

Dark Archive

At Crocodile Games's rate, we'dd have minis for Council of Thieves in 2015. I hope Reaper can speed things up a bit.

Anybody notice the square base on the green in the blog pic?

Oh gods... that green is beautiful. I like the Croc games minis, but, wow.

I hope they give us round bases, or even the normal reaper odd shape that is convieniant and uses less metal. I strongly dislike square bases.

Reaper also produces stuff with square bases at present.

I don't mind square bases and it's what Crocodile produced. Also saves a bunch of sawing if you want it off the base...

Of the two greens on the blog, I like the Valeros one the most (although I have no interest in the iconics are iconics). The one from the cover of the first PFRPG AP installment is a good representation of the image on the front of the AP, but I don't like the image on the front of the AP, the pose looks unnatural.

That is fantastic news. I've done a lot of mini work, and Reaper has some of the best quality minis I have used--I try to branch out and try other stuff, and always go back to Reaper for fantasy/D&D figures. Plus they have great support, and their forums have good tips for painting. Them doing the Pathfinder line just makes so much sense.

Amiri's base is round for what its worth ...

Isn't that the MIA Croc mini?

For bases, as far as looks go, I don't really mind too much, and like the Dark Heaven Legends sculted-on bases that tend to be different shapes that suit the character on the base.

HOWEVER, since these are meant for D&D play, I would argue there is a merit to having 1 inch square bases, so they fit on a battlemat properly (likewise, if Reaper sculpts monsters for this line, to have Large, Huge, etc. bases appropriately).

On the other hand, for D&D minis I currently just glue Reaper minis to 1 inch plastic squares anyway, so not really a big deal either way.
