I'd make the necessary adjustments and replace Absalom with Ptolus, due to the size and importance of the city (and the role it serves in the setting). The Spire would replace the Starstone (or perhaps the Starstone would continue to exist, with some differences, depending on which way I wanted to fiddle with things) as the 'big feature' of the city.
Places like Ptolus or Manifest or Freeport tend to be somewhat loosely-assigned 'free-floating' cities, which makes them a little bit easier to plonk down into other settings. Just find the city that most approximates their character, and, like a DC/Marvel Amalgam cross-over, try to keep the best parts of each component during the merger.

Ptolus?
Ive been reading Monte's masterful work and starting thinking about usingit with Pathfinder. So Im curious where would it fit in the world of Golarion?
Thanks in advance
Hmmm ... ancient empires, coastal ... I'd place it somewhere in Varisia, probably. Either in the cove/river outlet area that is above Riddleport and Celwynvian, or follow one of the rivers to an inland 'sea' area, such as the large ones near the Sanos Forest, along the river that flows past Magnimar.

Actually, I have been working on this and had been planning to post my conversions on this site.
I took some of the ideas originally posted here and placed Ptolus on the Isle of Terror and connected it to Cheliax. Actually, let me just start a thread and post what little I have so far. I will also find the original source for the "Ptolus on Isle of Terror" concept as soon as I find it.
