Kieran sighs. The sad part is that he wants to kill me because my disguise worked so well. He chuckles at the irony as he draws a dagger and darts forward to attack.
Initiative:1d20+4 = 14+4 = 18.
Guess I go first. I draw a dagger and attack.
Attack: 1d20+4 = 13+4 = 17
Damage: 1d4+1 = 4+1 = 5 Damage
"So tell me. Why'd you want the girl dead?" he asks. "Might as well tell me since you plan to kill me anyhow." Kieran's tone and mocking smile reveal that he doubts the thug can beat him.

~Adriana rolls an initative roll of 16~
Sorry adriana, but initiative only applies to Kieran. He is on his own at a room in the Ghostly Minstral inn. you are at St Gustavs church with the others.
Jack, the Salty Sea Dog
"He,he. Yes, you never were told why were you. Well it wont do any harm for you to know before you die!...Aarhh"
He grunts in pain as your blade slices down his forearm, drawing blood. Down to 9HP
"Damn...your quicker than I remember! But no matter. You wont leave here alive. Yes, lets just say that someone considers you a loose end that needs tidying up. That whore was just asking for it after she got herself with child. Someone high up, paid our employer, Vagger Nulus, a hefty sum to dispose of her. Thats what you were paid to do by him of course. But there are to be no witnesses left to talk. If word ever gets out about what happened, then it could make life difficult for whoever the father was."
He circles around you...
"And as I know how much your mouth likes to talk...well, lets just say i'm doing the city a favour!"
He lunges in with a viscious slash Rolls a 2 !!!!, but as you leap back he overextends and stumbles against the table, his blade scoring a line against the wall as you dodge out of the way.
"Stay still, damn you!!"

He smirks as he flips the dagger over in his hand, blade parrallel with his forearm. "I don't think so." The half-elf say before whipping his dagger around to make a horizontal slash at the wounded man.

"Aahh!!" down to 6hp
He replies with an uppercut with his knife hand and the blade leaves a nasty slash across your cheek. Rolls an 18 + 3 = 21. Damage is 3+2=5
"Dont get to overconfident old friend. That was always your problem. But I must say that your style has improved considerably. Whose been training you?"
Jack, the Salty Sea Dog
Back in St Gustavs, Phon pops her head into the room where you are all gathered.
"I'm off now father. I need to sleep, but I will come by tomorrow after breakfast on my way to work. I'll see if I can bring you some of those muffins you like."
The priest smiles, "Hurry home now girl...", adding with a frown as she runs off, "and stay away from any sewer gratings...!"

Can Kieran's meta-game guardian angel suggest you save his charge's ass?

He throws his dagger at you rolls a 1!!! and it thuds against a beam in the ceiling, snapping the blade. Upon seeing this he tries to barge past you toward the door."If I didn't trust my senses I'd sware that you had been replaced by a doppleganger!!!"
Kieran Del'gerr
Kieran shrugs. "Eh, close enough." He then throws his dagger at the thug before he can get out the door.
Attack: 1d20+4 = 13+4 = 17
Damage: 1d4+1 = 1+1 = 2
(Okay, since he's down to zero he's disabled and can only take one move or standard action a round, so it'd take a move action just to open the door, he wouldn't be able to get through before I could get to him on my next turn right?)
Kieran Del'gerr
Just checking, I don't think I've ever knocked someone down to zero before, I'm pretty good about just killing them outright.
Kieran walks over, "Nighty-night." He then knocks the thug on the head.
Attack: Unarmed Strike - 1d20+4 = 14+4 = 18
Damage: 1d3+1 = 2+1 = 3 Nonlethal, so he should be unconscious for two to three hours, 1 point of nonlethal dmage per level recovered every hour right?
Kieran then drags his unconscious prisoner up to his room and ties him up. He then heads down to the common room. Seeing the red-head he waves, winks, and mouths, 'soon,' grinning hopefully. He then walks over to a barmaid who knows him rather well and describes his companions, a dark-haired swordswoman with a large scar running down the side of her face, a massive blonde barbarian, an even more massive litorian, and a quiet, slender, brown-haired girl. The half-elf tells her to send them up to his room. Then he heads up to his room and sets a chair up so that he can rest his feet against his bed and block any attempts made by the thug to get out the door should he want to try to get out of his bonds and escape when he wakes. He looks over at the unconscious thug in the other chair one last time, then he puts his hands behind his head and leans back, relaxing, but keeping his keen hearing focused on the man's breathing, listening for any change or any shift that might indicate wakefulness.
Kieran Del'gerr
"Oh, right, almost forgot, he never paid me." he said with a grin as he looted everything of value from his sleeping prisoner. "What sort of thief forgets the gold?" he scolded himself quietly before turning to examine the man's possessions.
sorry for the double post, had been up too long to edit. Can't believe I forgot to mention looting, I must be tired...
Kieran Del'gerr
oh, almost forgot
and a small crystal globe that when held appears to show the face of Phon, the two Pale Dog thugs, the rest of your new companions and also your true face.
Kieran turns the globe over in his hand. "Eh?"
I make an appraise check to see if I can recognize what the item is from having seen or heard about it from merchants and whatnot.
Appraise: 1d20+8 = 14+8 = 22
Oh, did I get xp for beating the thug on my own?
Kieran Del'gerr
"Hm, might have to take this down to Myraeth later." He shrugs and sets it down with the rest. Normally he'd've kept it all, but he figured he'd offer to split the loot with the group he'd met earlier, he'd been looking for a group of Delvers and they seemed a good sort to team up with. He would take the armor though, it was sturdier than his own, but was well crafted so as not to hinder movement or make any more noise than his own lighter armor, which had been the only reason he'd avoided wearing anything heavier up to this point. He set to cleaning it up, especially to get the smell out, Kieran was by nature a fairly clean person, and more importantly he wanted to look every bit the dashing rogue for a certain red-headed delver.

"Then I say we finally get you all settled and get out of this damned rain. Adriana here's providin' quite a show soaking wet as she is."
~Adriana grins at you~ Yea. I don't mind the wolf wistles, but the wet clothes are annoying to say the least!
I am still around, despite the busy but profitable weekend.
Jack, the Salty Sea Dog
Upon entering the inn, you are confronted by a front desk. Stairs head up to the right and behind the desk. An archway to the left leads into a large dining room whilst to the left is the crowded taproom. A hauntingly beautiful voice drifts out from this room.
Stood behind the desk is a pretty young woman with
reddish-brown hair who looks up as you enter. "Good evening Sir's, Ladies; my name is Tellith. How may we help you tonight? "
Jack, the Salty Sea Dog
"Well, we can definately provide the first three; as for your friend...well, I don't recall seeing anyone fitting that description tonight, although there was a gentleman earlier who had piercing eyes...yes, they were green! He went up to his room on the second floor about an hour ago. Haven't seen him since. But he wasn't alone. I believe another gentleman accompanied him..."
Ilona Ebonblade
"Really...huh, you don't say, wouldn't have figured that one for.....anyway." she shakes her head with a chuckle.
"As you can see we're wet and looking to enjoy sleeping indoors for a change so whatd'you got?"
A slow grin creeps across her face as she considers the possible innuendo of her words
Jack, the Salty Sea Dog
"Well, a night’s stay is gonna set you back either 5 sp, 7 sp, 1 gp, or
2 gp, depending on what scale of luxury you require. If you've got horses, then that's extra. Now at the moment in the tap room we have our resident musician, Tarin Ursalatao, performing. That's his dulcit tones you can hear now." Tellith winks at the ladies in the party, "Wait till you get a look at him...I'd climb to the top of the spire for a night with him!"
Blushing slightly, Tellith indicates the room to her right. "We have some good food on tonight as well. Might I suggest the goose liver and bean soup followed by the beef and vegetable pasties and finished off with a bowl of sugared dragons. If its drink your after, then see Zade, behind the bar. First drinks on the house."
Kieran Del'gerr
Kieran hears the Barbarian's booming voice. Kieran looks at his door, "Took their time, didn't they?" he shrugs then rolls his head back over to look at his prisoner. Still out cold, he shrugs. checks the bonds. then heads downstairs. " 'ey." He waves at the others from the foot of the stairs. "Seems I've found some things that might interest you all."

"This is not the matter of money, loud one. To put it simply, I do not require much in the way of comfort. But your offer is made with honor and it is my honor to accept it."
"Ah! Then I am honored by your acceptance. My people have a saying, 'When the ice forms on your eyes, fret not over the luxuries you did not enjoy!'"
