Radavel,
Out of curiousity, are we still proceeding with a 50 post duration session? Or are we going to use one of the other formats? You had mentioned it during the startup, that's the only reason I ask.
Also, I'm gonna cobble together a PDF with the important actions and modifiers, so those that don't have access to the books can still have an idea about their options. Please let me know if you would like a copy. I hope to have it ready this weekend. Any requests?

I read alot of the old Gotrek anf Felix stories. Haven't read any of the new ones or the Malus series.
I would reccommend the Konrad Trilogy, Wine of Dreams, Plague Daemon, Zaragoz, and Guardians of the Forest. They are all excellent reads.
Mostly I am still playing catch up reading all my 40k novels.
Enjoying the game, and can't wait to see where it our adventures take us.

When I mentioned the 50 post, I expected only two players. Now that there is four of you I figure that it is more logical to place the bar at 100 posts, don't you agree?
I suggest you get a copy of the GM Screen.
EDIT: Suggestions as to the name of an Inn. I am partial to the: "Inn of the Seven Deadly Sins".

I'm OK with Warhammer materials, I have a copy of the rulebook handy.
I've been reading up on my Dark Heresy lately and recently picked up a copy of the Eisenhorn omnibus. I am not one to usually read game-based fiction, but the elaborate detailing of the 40K universe in the DH rulebooks was so high quality, and filled with such excellent atmosphere and flavor I finally decided to give Abnett's series a shot after picking it up and putting it down in the store 3-4 times.
I haven't started reading it yet (busy reading Neal Stephenson's Anathem right now) have any of you guys read Eisenhorn? I'd also be curious if there is any other Warhammer/Warhammer 40K fiction with solid writing that is worth picking up.

Have read the Omnibus several times since I acquired it in 2005. Very inspiring. Also try to read Ravenor (the adventures of Eisenhorn's apprentice).
Participating in a DH PBP and a Rogue Trader PBP here, BTW.

Only series I read with Inquisitors is the Inquisition Wars Trilogy. Its very different from the novels they have now.
As far as good 40k reads, I reccommend the Horus Heresy novels, exspecially the first three books. Storm of Iron, and The Lord of Night are both excellent reads. The Lord of Night has some dealings with the Inquisition but not much.
Overall anything written by Dan Abnett, and Graham McNiell is worth reading. Keep away from C.S. Goto. The man is a menance.

Thanks guys. I'm looking forward to reading them now. I've liked the shorter pieces Abnett has written, hence the reason I started with his book.
I wouldn't mind entering the DH game Rad, please feel free to let me know in this post if it is still open. Character-wise, I'm more than happy to play something that will maintain the internal consistency of the game (in other words, I am not picky, playing DH is a enough for me).

Hello guys. I have a hearing that requires me to go out of town tomorrow and the day after my sister is getting married. I'd be able to update the IC at the latest Sunday my time zone. Apologize for the delay.
No problem. Have fun at the Wedding!

I am thinking that dwarves have no wizards and have rune magic; so, with all their battles against the green skins; there is bound to be lore and magic down in them tunnels or hanging around that needs be found by the likes of me :) Also, as they made Sigmar's hammer and I think the Runefangs of the Empire that the electors all use, I am hoping to get on their good side considering that they live such a long time; all their grudge tales I might be able to gleen some info on various magic and maybe find a grimore. From the fluff, the mages guild send mages on adventures for several reasons; to show us as helping; to show mages power and keep their place in society; and to learn and discover more magic. New mages have to show their worth; and pretty much you have to keep doing it until your a master wizard.
Anyway, this is what I am thinking.

Ok; read the rulebook; fixed my character; I had it wrong; pg 27 says you start with all your skills and talents from your starting career, its second careers you have to buy them; so updated my character sheet; hehe glad I read the rules; now I can be helpful.

I don't have the main rulebook. Guess I will update them when I can.

Anyways, we shall consider the present encounter as a form of skill challenge using the 4e terminology. In this regard, logical and compelling arguments towards convincing the lawgivers to search the innkeeper will earn bonuses that will help your Fellowship rolls. If you can't convince the lawgivers the consequence is immediate incarceration pending trial which hearing can happen from one to three years from date.

Lol no pressure. Exspecially since I didn't see the eyeball. Will have to think on this one a bit.

Are we using any of the 2nd ed other books like:
Realms of Sorcery
DriveThruRPG
RPGNow
The Winds of Magic blow south from the Realms of Sorcery, and only those with the knowledge and talent can master them. The Realms of Sorcery sourcebook is an indispensable addition for players and Game Masters alike, expanding how magic functions in the Old World. This book serves as a valuable resource for both those seeking the paths of wizardry and for those looking to acquire the tools needed to defeat them. Inside this tome you will find:
• Scores of new spells for each Wind of Magic.
• Exhaustive information on all the Colleges of Magic, examining their history, goals, key figures and more.
• An extensive overview describing the nature of magic, and the role magic plays in the Old World.
• A complete adventure, "A Brutal Finish".
I found out this is available in PDF format.

Cool info. Allow me later to pull some surprises from the Skaven Handbook.
Now an important message from our sponsor:
Guys, I will be out of the office for the next couple of days. There is a distinct possibility that I will not have any connection to the net. Hence, do not be alarmed if I have not updated the IC thread.
Work requires me to travel far from Manila, the capital city of the Philippines, to the Pangasinan, a province 100 plus KM away to the North, to handle a criminal case (double murder with multiple frustrated murder) filed against my client by the Mayor of the City where I am going. One of the victims was the former Mayor of that city and who was the father of the present Mayor. There is clearly a lot of emotion in this case.
Suffice it to say I must play a little cloak and dagger as I do not want to advertise that I am the lawyer for the other side. It feels as though my life is turning into an rpg adventure.
Wish me luck.
