I have a convention scheduled in Florida right after Gencon. Can I run modules for slot zeros under PRPG legally before the date of Gencon? (They will be reported after the convention)
After Gencon will everything in PFS be run under PRPG exclusivly?
Can I let people run a game "old school"?
WIll the organizers be required to supply conversions for anything in the modules we run?

No one will have the PRPG rules before August 13, so that might make it hard. I don't believe that any 3.5 games will be allowed, and a conversion document will be released to allow season 0 scenarios to remain relevant and playable.

I assume we will have to use the beta ruleset and hope we get close.
I am going to have to use DMs who know the beta and are going to be willing to get the released rules from the 13th AUG to the 22nd Aug.
I was looking for a little wiggle room.

If any of the GMs have Pathfinder RPG subscriptions, they will have their books shipped out prior to GenCon, and will thus have access to the free pdf that comes along with it before the 13th. That might get you some wiggle room, but the actual date of shipment is up to Paizo, so it might not be that much earlier than it will be available in stores and at GenCon.

As per the Pathfinder Society Guide to Organized Play: Until the release of the Pathfinder RPG on August 13th, the Pathfinder Society uses the 3.5 -rules set, not the Beta nor any approximation thereof.

right, and the Bullet is looking for Aug 22nd, but was afraid of not getting the books in time for DMs to have familiarized themselves with it in 2-3 days... at least that's how I read it...

Like a few have said. There will be a few ways to get the rules by the time of your convention.
Those who subscribe will have the PDF.
by Aug 22, some of your GMS may have the book by then if they ordered them
GMs at your Con who are also GMS at GenCon will have the Rules
By Aug 22, some RPG Stores may have the book in by then.
Also a Conversion Cheat Sheet will be made up for GenCon, you should be able to get your hands on that.
I would stay far away from the Beta.. The Beta was never ment to be run in the society.

Sorry to threadjack, here, but I hope this isn't too far off.
Why isn't 3.5 allowed? Likely I've just missed something. :)

During/After GenCon, the Pathfinder Society will be using the Pathfinder RPG Rules only.

I have a ruleset that I can use, that I can only count on for 1 week ahead of con date.
Using the beta as a spring board is a great way to manage that risk. How different it is, I can't say. I could not get my hands on the Pathfinder rules at Paizocon!

Josh has said many times the Beta rules are not ment to be used for the Pathfinder Society Organziation.
Better Idea is to ask Josh if you can use Season 0 Scenerios for your Con, since they are made on the 3.5 rules.

Yes this is correct. After the 13 August that changes. Hopefully this is a non issue, if I have DMs who are willing to run a game with a ruleset they only saw 1 week before.
I have a chance to do something very cool, and showcase the new PRPG rules for the first time in Florida. Florida had a big Living Greyhawk community and has a good Pathfinder community. Every convention has a few more Pathfinders, and a few more LFR players.
The CON Mistress is really eager to grow this segment of her convention, and its a biggie in Florida.
Its a risk that I would be stupid to not manage. Telling me don't do it is pretty easy. My "do nothing" option is fraught with the danger of having unprepared judges, unhappy players, and the chance that newbies to PRPG think the ruleset is too hard to use. I understand that "do nothing" is an option.
I have three judges that said they will have the rules 1 week before. That includes me. I would be more comfortable with 5 or 6.

Asked and answered already. We will have to use conversion, but all year zero PFS scenarios are 100% useable after 13 August. That was posted here as well, I plan to supply a cheat sheet for the judges on the conversion for characters in the modules, and stat blocks if needed.
3.5 rules.
Based on the feedback from folks here, I think the idea of using the 3.5 ruleset and not PRPG is closed.
