I would have said my story about the muffin addicted vigilante, who kills girl scouts who don't give her Thin Mints, or my multigenre project done in high school about serial killers.

but as of 2 days ago, this all changed after I started thinking of what my encounter with a succubus would be like, then I started writing about it...not to toot my own horn but it is hot, plain and simple

October 2007 I was getting ready to take the GREs. I was also busy with fieldwork for what would become my Master's project. When I get stressed, one of the things that happens is I get the writing bug. I scheduled the GREs for a Saturday morning. So about Wednesday evening the bug hits. I started writing that night, and the next day, and the next. I took the GREs Saturday morning, had lunch, went home, and kept writing. This lasted until the following Saturday. By the time I was done, I had written about 120 pages, single-spaced, 10 point font. It was a continuation of some previous fanfiction I've written. This time, it was 120 pages of me and Lulu from FF X. Throw in a Xenosaga character of choice. It's still quality-wise some of my best work.

My favorite, however, might well become our campaign journal. I've immensely enjoyed writing the chronicles of our little adventuring band in the "To Slay the Immortal" campaign.

Thanks, but that one weighs in at 126 pages, single-spaced, 10 point font, 1 inch page margins. I'm more fussy about my fanfiction for some reason and don't let it out of my sight. This particular piece had good characterization, needed a bit more story development maybe. Oh and I got to have fun ripping up stuff from X-2. It also wouldn't make sense without the preceding 300 pages of material, some of which I can't remember the order it goes in!

For now, I'll stick with whatever whimsically comes up. That, and we're gaming this weekend, so I'll be updating the "To Slay the Immortal" sometime Sunday probably. Won't be Saturday night, I'm off to a concert of FF music.

Liberty's Edge

The best/favorite thing I've ever written?

Besides my name in the snow that'd be this post, right here. Ahhh yeahhh. That's some good postin'.

I'm by no means neither a writer nor a game designer, but I've written three role-playing settings as netbooks for different systems. I enjoyed writing all three, but the last one is the one I'm most satisfied with (which would more or less mean the less lame but meh), heh, in fact I did three different versions of that last one for three different systems, I guess I liked it that much.

Liberty's Edge

ask me this every year and I will have a different answer... most of the time...

my problem is that I create... I see the dialogues rnning in my mind visualy, thea action taking place... but not all goes into writen word... maybe my atteniotn span is to small...

so i am happy with anything that I can sit and write and that has the fluidity to let people actually see it... at least a bit... as I see it

Jordan and Natalia got this... but those two are some of my more beloved creations by themselves...

but one i really liked writing was The Hobgoblin... then retitled The Bestial Horde, a fiction based on Monte Cook's Dragon's Delve... I think is some of the best I have gotten out, but even if not having Monte saying its cool... makes it a winner for me :D

This is me. I end up having to write stuff down or I can't sleep. What will seem to be a vignette or a scene will keep writing itself in my head, and I'll have to jot it down, or it will distract me.

I also identify with the desire to not let my writing out of my sight. Too often I go back to re-read something I did years ago and find it rife with boner errors (changing tenses midway through a scene, for instance) that make me want to junk-punch the writer. Then I remember who the writer is and decide to go easy on him, this time. :)

The adventure I'm most proud of is an epic module I wrote as a continuation of the Age of Worms campaign. It includes a city built atop a genius loci, a multidimensional fortress, a demilich with divine ranks, and an awesome game mechanic from Unearthed Arcana, called sanity points.

So far, it's been a lot of fun. At some point, I'm thinking about trying to make it more generic, so that I can try and get it published.
