LOL yes Townsville, but not that one from Power puff girls, this Townsville is named after Robert Towns, Who was an entrepreneur and businessman, who provide financial assistance to a new settlement. The settlement was named Townsville in his honour.

I think Townsville is the 2nd largets city in Queensland.

Beautiful place and home to the Cowboys Rugby League team.

Just about 700 or so kilometres, as the crow flies, north of me in Rockhampton.

Yep, all correct... tis a glorious time of year to be in Townsville right now. beautiful clear days 25-28 degrees celsius, unfortunately I am stuck in a building working...*sigh*

Masika, where in Rocky are you...I lived there for a year before moving up to Townsville!

Sorry...I prefer to win three out of three ;-) Mind you...Here's hoping there's a game with all the flu going round, I have a dread fear of one of the remaining games being canceled.

NSW came back at QLD in the last one and was a great game, I think the next two will be and even better display of prime footy!!

Its not the Flu the banana benders are so scared they are pulling a sicky to get out of being thrashed.

In reality I don't care.....I lost interest in league years ago. :-( Now if was a Tah's v Reds game then yeah.... go the Tahs.

hmmmmmm...strange that any decision to play or not to play comes from NRL headquarters which is based....er in NSW....;-) QLDers play when they are sick or injured anyway...part of the QLD spirit!!!

Yea at the moment Tahs are going MUCH better than the reds!...got do something about that, can't be giving you NSWers so much hope :-)

I do like this city of mine, i like it alot :D
I'd just like to point out to anyone else living in Townsville they with the exception of the Powerpuff Girls we actually have a lot of similarities to the one in the cartoon.
Island off the coast: Check
Suburban Area a few minutes travel from the main city: Check
Stupid Mayor: Check

I could continue but yeah there's alot of similar things between the real city and fictional one.
