I thought it a bit high in the stats but I read it as a 32 point by for Pathfinder. In reading the posts were talking about demons and third level characters so I assumed you wanted the PC's to have a superior stat boost so I didn't question the high stats. The rules are a guideling and DMS are free to throw 'em out and adjust them to fit thier game after all. I'll re-buy the stats at a 25 point buy then no harm no foul.
I started fresh and bought stats with 25 points and adjusted my skills and abilities accordingly, interestingly enough the only stat where the ability bonus lowered was Charisma.

This is my Character, Thelonius Thistlecrit.
He is half done. I will finish the rest off tomorrow or Friday (depending on my workload).
I took one liberty that I hope you don't mind Kruel. I swapped out one of his starting languages (Sylvan) for Osiriani. I figured if he grew up in Osirion he should be able to speak the language.

Again, all my fault.

I think you're going to like being a slave. Captain Book is quite fond of the little people: they don't take up much space and they fetch a pretty penny in Qadira and Katapesh.

What's with the sobriquetically appellated PCs in this game?
I'm trying something different...

Guys can I get some Insight off you for a Class Ability?
Granted he will not be eligible for this PrC for at least another 4 Levels (but I'm thinking more likely 5 or 6) I still want to start the concept rolling now.
This is the Class Ability:
Death's Vow
Upon becoming a Companion of the Dead, the character severs all ties with any family or friends and divests himself of all worldly possessions except for armour, weapons and any magical items that directly augment his ability to fight in melee. He may still adventure with his companions, but any personal relationships he might have had with them before are now forbidden. The dead have no need for friendship or physical wealth. If at any time the Companion breaks Death's Vow, he becomes wracked with guilt and suffers penalties for 24 hours as described [in another class ability].
The parts I am a bit grey on are the italicised ones.
Does this mean he can't use items such as an Efficient Quiver or Glove of Storing to hold his weapons?
Does this also mean that he forfeits his share of monetary party treasure? If so, how does he expect to gain better weapons and armour or pay to have enchantments placed upon his existing items? Be at the whims of what treasure is availble in an adventure? That's fine for Vanilla Fighter with Longsword, Platemail and Shield A but what about someone who is a little out of the ordinary?
Ambiguous Items like Cloaks of Resistance and such are a bit funny as well. It could offer augmentation in Melee combat (Saves against certain attacks and such) so is it permissable?
I'm just asking for some clarifications of how you guys interpret this passage. I still want to play the Character, but it will impact on how I spend money and accrue items early on in the game.

Yes. The operative phrase is "directly augment his ability to fight in melee."
Does this also mean that he forfeits his share of monetary party treasure?
No. Your fellows can purchase for you your weapons, armor and what not.

That's how I read it as well, but I just wanted to make sure that's how others saw it.

This one I really wasn't sure on. I had already thought that his share could just be set aside and other party members could then use it to purchase stuff by proxy, but I wasn't sure if that was in the spirit of the wording or not.
What about something like the Cloak of Resistance? It can augment Saves and such in combat situations and so would technically be OK, but then it also has many other uses outside of combat situations as well. I suppose the key phrase here is directly augment his ability to fight in melee, but then does this preclude items such as Rings of Protection because they don't augment his melee figting ability, they just mean he is harder to hit in melee.

I sorta sounds like I'm trying to exploit loopholes doesn't it...
I really just want to try and establish some boundries of what is acceptable or not.
Establish away.
Only buying stuff that boosts your melee ability is a matter of course for most people anyway, it's mostly fluff until you get up there in the high levels and have enough money to throw around for buying castles.

Flash, I think you should have a look at page 177 of the PChron Campaign Setting book. See "The Prophecies of Kalistrade".
"The Whispering Way" is pretty cool, too, but I think you'd get put to the sword by Rohit.
Not sure the Prophecies of Kalistrade quite fit. The part about gaining personal wealth doesn't really gel with the Companion of the Dead.
The Whispering Way isn't too bad, although CotD isn't really about befriending Undead, it's more about the inevitability of Death and so I think Pharasma is a better fit.

Nah, I spend money on other stuff for Characters all the time (depending on the build obviously).
On introducing The Herald to the party: If The Deceiver/Cordoba is heading to the Hall of Pharasma, that might be a good way to bring Thelonius into the party. Having him doing something at the Temple when The Deceiver arrives.
