A note about Pathfinder

The owner of my FLGS and I discussed today Pathfinder vs. 4E.

Since his store opened with the event of the 4E release, he has been firm in his stance on 4E as a product. As more Pathfinder stuff is released, and demand for it increases, he has softened up quite a bit.

Today, we discussed his support for Paizo in general (Pathfinder in particular). With the Pathfinder RPG final release just around the corner, he has asked some of us 4E resistant DMs if we would be willing to run Pathfinder Society sessions in store. He has now dedicated an equal amount of store space to Paizo products (Huzzah!)

He said that his initial support of 4E came because of product and I understand. With Pathfinder's stated goal of 3.5 compatibility, many GS owners were reluctant; why support something that sells product no longer produced or available? With Pathfinder almost released, the tables have turned. Now older 3.5 product is moving off his shelves again, as well as new stuff.

I just realized that 'being proud' of playing Pathfinder is just what I am! Thanx, Paizo, for making it possible to play the game I love for years to come!
