As a movie it could work well if it's rewritten to be an action flick, but as a book it sucked. Absolutely zero narrative tension because it's presented as a boring historical documentary. What, are we going to be watching 2 hours of old retirees talking about how the [fictional] war was won?

The book sucked? Not when I read it.

As for how the movie will work, flashbacks, sure we are sick of them from Lost, but hey, that is how it would work.

Did you watch the usual suspects?

I enjoyed the book, though some "interviews" were not as entertaining.

And in a two hour movie they would have to pick some of the better 'recollections' to cover. Another way to handle it may be like what was done with iRobot, where each of the short stories was mined for details and woven into a new narrative with the same overall themes.

One of my hopes is that they don't add in any 'fast' zombies. I am getting sick of seeing the full speed ghouls in zombie films. Can we make the slow movers work again please?

Hey, fast zombies were frickin' hilarious in Dance of the Dead... Or at least I think that was what it was called. Zombies invade a highschool prom or something. Anyway, one scene had them leaping from their graves and landing in mid sprint, my jaw dropped and I found myself yelling at the teens to run faster while laughing my ass off. But that was a horror comedy so...
