Feat questions for the Warlock

Fey Power from Complete Mage states " Caster Level and Save DC's on enchantment spells and Warlock invocations increases by 1.

Does this mean that Warlock invocations that are enchantments are the only ones to benefit from this or is that all invocations that gain CL and save DC's?

Does Eldritch Blast count as a "Special Ability" as required by the "Ability Focus" feat in MM?

We are looking for something of an "official" response.. not sure if thats possible. Even some good arguments for the differences would be welcome.

Yes, it's based on ability focus, not spell focus, for the feat. Check the example guy.

All warlock invocations and all enchantment spells get the boost.

Yes, it does. The "Invocations" section of the warlock class description explicitly states this.

Ok, looked that up and the "Special Ability" is confirmed.. what about the Fey Feat "Fey Power"? My GM is thinking its only for Enchantment Invocations even tho by the descriptions of the invocations, there are no type descriptors.

Alright same thing as with fiendish, It says, "Enchantment spells and invocations" not "Spells and invocations of the enchantment school".

IMO Fey heritage is the better way to go, especially with fey skin. Cold Iron weapons are fairly rare... magical cold iron weapons even more so, if you take these feats and suddenly everything you face has Cold Iron weapons you should feel free to beat the DM about the head soundly*.

(*Not that I advocate beating DM's about the head soundly)

Yeah, well, sometimes they need it just to get things into perspective. :)

Now to see if my GM will look at your response. Thinking he will go along with your thoughts considering I did that somewhat. I rewrote the feat into 2 different feats to show him my thoughts:

CL and Save DC's for Enchantment Spells are increased by 1.

CL and Save DC's for Invocations are increased by 1.
