My Take on Howl of the Carrion King, So Far. (Spoilers)

So far I am liking this adventure a lot. However, some parts of the adventure are more difficult than others. I've already mentioned the pugwampi fight in the cactus patch. My group also had trouble with the pugwampis in the chapel. The fight with Old Bonegrinder was particularly hard for my players, in part because they followed a group of gnolls into the building while they were feeding the pig. Four of my players dropped in that encounter, although I decided to have Bonegrinder go after the ones who were still fighting, so the group survived that one. On Saturday, they had their show down with Kardiswain and Ugrick. That did not go well at all. I have eight players, so I had assumed that the baddies would come out on the worst end of the deal. However, when the final tally was counted the total was good guys-two, bad guys-five. Thanks for giving me as DM such a wonderfully fun time. Although they won't admit it, my players had fun too.

Bonegrinder is a serious monster! See this thread.
And if you think he's bad, wait until you hit the Carrion King.

Thanks for the heads up. Should I soup up the Heccuva fight?

Give him clerical spells per his level; otherwise he goes down like a chump.
