I have alot of ideas for and Eberron campaign, and was wondering if anyone wanted to join, we'll use 3.5 with some house rules. We'll start at level three (allowing for some races with ECL), all races are available (I even use Savage Species), psionics encouraged.
The story will begin in Rierdra, specifically Syrkarn.
Vorbis
Definitely in, if that's alright!
How about a kender psion from the World Serpent Inn? XD
Hey, you said every race was allowed!
If not, then how about a phanaton druid? Or perhaps a kenku psion?
You're right i did say every race my mistake i meant every race i've heard of (except kender) :P I don't know why but every kender i've ever seen in a game has gone insane.
Phanaton's maybe if i can find my copy of that Dragon.
Kenku definetly that should be interesting.

Alrighty, the thread is up Here
introduce your characters and include name, race, age, class, etc in a spoiler :)
Shouldn't we wait until our characters are finished?
Vorbis
How do you want us to handle hit points and equipment?
Hmm, yeah you cantell i haven't run PBP before i didn't even think about it.
For HP we'll use the static progression, Full Die at odd levels, and half die at even levels
Equipment, i'll say 1,350 that way you're below WBL and have to room to gain treasure
once complete post here first let me preview the character

"Think of dragonmarks as a snag in the weave of the Draconic Prophecy. You can take that thread, and you can go forward and try to guess what will be woven next. Or, you can follow it back to the source, and now you can find everything that has ever occurred."
Alright, I have repurposed the name of a previous character, so here I am. I'll have the equipment and background up later.

Sorry about the wait, we lost internet for a few days. My character will be done soon.

Hmm. Tough location for characters without 'kill me' signs on their heads. Religion is bad juju, as is magic and Kalashtar... how about a monk? Maybe a Dolgaunt with no class levels? >.>

Story, story... I don't know so much about Riedra, just what's in the ECS, which is that noone comes in and noone goes out, so she must be a native. She's very protective of her family. I'd imagine that weapons are probably harder to come by for normal-enough folk, so she learned to defend herself without the use of them. As she has the most mettle among her family, she has the honor of doing the jobs noone else wants, like removing an entire family of snakes from under the outhouse or being the face of the family when the Inspired come to call (she's not very good at it, mostly nodding her head and grunting in comprehension/'agreement'). Because of all of her hard work, she enjoys her liquor each night (future Drunken Master, if the DM will allow) but never gets herself truly drunk (that she knows of).
Bar fights seem to be all too common late at night, especially when the men start going after her with cat calls. When she realizes that physical intervention is required, she's got a mean kick (once she gets some momentum) that she hopes is enough to bring whoever is causing trouble down. Otherwise she tries to stun or grapple until they calm down or pass out. She tries to avoid lethal damage, only resorting to it when her attempts to subdue aren't working and the creature is not normal (memories of the cloaker in her closet still give her the heebie jeebies).

actually the the continent is Sarlona, Rierdra is just a part of that, Syrkarn is much more free and not under Inspired control. Hope that helps and opens up some possibilties

Heh heh...whoops. I copied a bunch of stuff from another character of mine, because I liked the format. I forgot to delete the original contents. Just ignore it for now.

So do we still have to worry about angry Inspired coming after us, if we're psionic?
Vorbis
Kobold Cleaver wrote:So do we still have to worry about angry Inspired coming after us, if we're psionic?Probably. Then again, wouldn't the Inspired be chasing after us even if we weren't psionic?
Actually the answer to both is no. Syrkarn is a free nation, that has remnants of the old Sarlonan culture but is made up of the descendants who fled Rierdra when the Inspired first arrived. Yes there are Rierdrans in Syrkarn but they are merely observers not aggressors.
Vorbis
Five Common Syrkarn Legends
1.Syrkarn is free. Though nominally a protecterate of Rierdra, Syrks owe no fealty to the Inspired Overlords.
2. In the past, greatness lingers. The eneko are descendants of ogres and half-giants, the latter believed to be descendants of Sarlonan humans and traveling Xen'Drik giants.
3. The yuan-ti once held this land in the iron grip of magic-and seek to do so again.
4. The giant based faith of the mongrel ogres (eneko) hide dark secrets.
5. Beneath the beauty of Syrkarn, dark things abide.
Khun-duhn
FINALLY got my character (mostly) done: Khun-duhn, duergar psychic rogue/fighter. (Hopefully, the psychic rogue class from the WotC Mind's Eye article [http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/psm/20040723b] is acceptable - if not, let me know and I will reconfigure).
Still need to finish my equipment and background.

Any room for another character? I'm itchin' to get into an Eberron game (my favorite setting at this point)...
- Rebis
Hmm, yeah i think so, i'd like to begin soon so everyone whose almost done, post when you're completed everything. Let me know.
Oh and Khun-Duhn looks good, i haven't seen the psychic rogue in action, but i'm willing to test it out

Alright will someone please post another character before we risk the DM and most of the players just floating away?
I just got my backstory left, and some numbers. I'm being really lazy, I should get to work soon. I recently found out about Unforgotten Realms, and it is really addictive. Pure awesomesauce.

Well, the problem isn't really with you. After all, you at least have enough to get through the bit of character interaction that I assume we will start with. I'm more thinking of the people that posted interest then never posted in this thread again. I'm looking at you, Roland Darkwatcher, OnyxTigress, reliantKitten, and Max Hellspont!

My character is Khun-duhn (it's an alias, like Audric Dolet is your alias). I've been ready for a week now.
By the way, if you take a look you'll see that Sorya Anali is OnyxTigress' alias, and that reliantKitten has their character posted in a spoiler. The only one we haven't seemed to hear from (that I can tell) is Roland Darkwatcher.

Even though it's kinda late, if it's okay with Vorbis, the OP, may I be considered for an alternate spot/placeholder, just in case an extra player is needed?
Am thinking of creating a maenad ardent with life/freedom/mental power mantle (or possibly even an eneko druid with some substitute powers).
Sorry i've been away, but if you complete a character tehn yes you can play. It's first done first play system.

Background: Serving as a healer, though not affiliated with either House Jorasco of the Dragonmarked Houses or the Healing Hands of Riedra, Guntar is a native maenad ardent of the Tashana Tundra with ties both to the Saartuk Shifters and the tribes of the Tashyvar islands. He had also gained ties to the both the Qiku Shifters (and the Akiak, by extension) and some explorers from the Khorvaire mainland in the recent past- where Guntar had picked up some knowledge and a working language of the world outside of Sarlona.
