Hmm. Tough location for characters without 'kill me' signs on their heads. Religion is bad juju, as is magic and Kalashtar... how about a monk? Maybe a Dolgaunt with no class levels? >.>

Story, story... I don't know so much about Riedra, just what's in the ECS, which is that noone comes in and noone goes out, so she must be a native. She's very protective of her family. I'd imagine that weapons are probably harder to come by for normal-enough folk, so she learned to defend herself without the use of them. As she has the most mettle among her family, she has the honor of doing the jobs noone else wants, like removing an entire family of snakes from under the outhouse or being the face of the family when the Inspired come to call (she's not very good at it, mostly nodding her head and grunting in comprehension/'agreement'). Because of all of her hard work, she enjoys her liquor each night (future Drunken Master, if the DM will allow) but never gets herself truly drunk (that she knows of).

Bar fights seem to be all too common late at night, especially when the men start going after her with cat calls. When she realizes that physical intervention is required, she's got a mean kick (once she gets some momentum) that she hopes is enough to bring whoever is causing trouble down. Otherwise she tries to stun or grapple until they calm down or pass out. She tries to avoid lethal damage, only resorting to it when her attempts to subdue aren't working and the creature is not normal (memories of the cloaker in her closet still give her the heebie jeebies).

I would love to participate and could play whatever is needed to round out a group ($cleric ?). A warning that this would be my first PbP and real Eberron adventuring, though I've been studying it religiously for awhile.

PC: Tanans Adihanr, half-elf expert 1/ sorcerer 1
Adventure: There is No Honor
Location of Death: Blue Nixie, B10
Catalyst: Rhagodessa and a low player wisdom score

This player has a habit of wandering away from the party and decided to go down into the hold all by himself while everyone else was dealing with some healing and searching the main deck. Not only was the hold on fire, but the rhagodessa had managed to escape from its burning cage. He walked right into it and bled out before the party could reach him.

PC: Turij, human warrior 1/ ranger 2
Adventure: There is No Honor
Location of Death: Lotus Dragon Hideout, D29
Catalyst: pr0n

The party used the Earth Elemental Gem to wreck havoc in the area leading up to Rowyn's room. After it had killed everything from the training room until just before her room, it poofed after moving through the wall and into her room. She went invisible and went to see what was going on. Half of the party followed the elemental while the other half was back in the training room looting, so they returned to the training room to heal up before continuing; Turij was the last to leave the room. My re-written Rowyn cast Suggestion on him and told him that he should probably close the door because there were scary things out there. She then invited him to join her for some 'fun', DDed away with her now-willing target to her dungeon, had her way with him, and then killed him while everyone else was looting corpses and healing up.

PC: Cadell Virtanen, human warrior 1/ ranger 3
PC: heck if I can remember his name now and I dunno where I put my notes, dwarf warrior 1/monk 3
Adventure: The Bullywug Gambit
Location of Death: Kraken's Cove, K6
Catalyst: DM uber-rolls while they tried to rest

Ripclaw rips them all a new one and they retreat to K6 to rest (the fungus didn't stand a chance). They try their best to barricade the doorway and set the rangers on watch with a 6-hour alarm spell. I roll randomly to see if the savage creatures smell the blood in the room from all of their damage and disease, 5% chance and I call high. Nothing the first six hours, but hours 7 and 8... 100 on the dice. Both times. Well, that calls for something somewhat epic. So Brissa tries to claw through their barricade, then gathers three other savage creatures to help her claw through it. The rangers fail their listen checks and down comes the barricade. No problem, the rangers are fully healed and standing right beside their comrades, easy to wake them up, right...? The baddies all get initiative (even on separate initiative rolls), move in and start gnawing on Cadell. And they crit. Twice. He's down, and the monk is next. By the time the others wake up, their comrades are already beyond saving. At that point I felt pretty badly, wished that I used a a screen so I could have fudged those rolls, and gave the creatures will saves to keep eating the dead instead of attacking the rest of the party, who escape, retreat back up the cliff face and to the fishing boat to return to Sasserine and get these diseases removed.

I found Rowyn to be extremely wimpy when I first read her stats, and with a party of 6-8 people she would have been toast in a round or two. So, I rewrote her.

Story-wise, her mother is a succubus and Rowyn is now being manipulated subtly by Malcanthet.

Level 5 Rowyn (There is No Honor): www.cat.pdx.edu/~murasaki/Rowyn_5.pdf
Level 8 Rowyn (Sea Wyvern's Wake): www.cat.pdx.edu/~murasaki/Rowyn_8.pdf

Alu-fiend is more-or-less a half-succubus, Beguiler fits her better, and Thrall of Malcanthet... bwa ha ha.

We've just finished There is No Honor and boy did she drive these guys nutso. They used the Earth Elemental Gem to lay waste to her part of the guild, so she checked out the going-ons while invisible. The party retreated to gather the rest of their companions and heal up after the elemental disappeared, so she dominated the last player to leave the area, convinced them to close the door because there were scary things out there, and invited him to join her for some 'fun'. Now willing, they DDed to a special 'dungeon' where she had her way with him and then killed him. The PC ended up being my fiance' so describing the 'fun' was even more 'fun', teehee. ^_~

When she got around to the rest of the party, it became a wonderful game of cat-and-mouse as she flew around, firing poisoned bolts and going invisible whenever she started getting low. They finally retreated from her and she left, figured the guild was beyond saving, and 'informed' the authorities about the guild's location. She wasn't successful in having the guard catch the PCs down there, but with the descriptions that she provided, they are wanted for questioning, though they don't know it yet.

Plans for SWW: The Kellani family helps pay for Lavninia's trip so Rowyn is now a passenger, much to the chagrin of the party, I'm sure. Fighting her in SWW will be extremely tough because by that time she will be known as the 'hero of Sasserine' for outing the Lotus Dragon guild... I need to polish her in case they do decide to draw blood, but for now just the social aspects have been *fun*.

Sorry for rambling...
