Anyone reading both titles lately? Geoff Johns is cranking it up a notch! Really good stories in both titles and this year's Blackest Night crossover is going to be huge! So many good characters recently introduced like Agent Orange and the Blue lanterns. I highly recommend people check it out. It's on my must buy list every week along with Johns now doing Flash:Rebirth.

So, who's reading the titles and what do you think?

I've wanted to read it, but I'm sadly broke.

I have been reading GL/GLC forever!!! (Well, GLC only recently! :P) I think the Blackest Night is going to be the best storyline from either company this year and Geoff Johns is by far the best writer in comics nowadays.

Zombies with Power Rings...it seems such a simple idea, but I would be worried if anyone else but Johns was writing it.

Scarab Sages

I've also been reading GL for a long time, and Geoff Johns current work is top notch. I loved the Sinestro Corps War and am really looking forward to Blackest Night.

Hmm, maybe the Black Lanterns could use another undead member......

Were you a metahuman in life perchance?

I've followed the story in both titles from the start. I've enjoyed it quite a lot, though it seems to me that the defensive capabilities of the rings are a lot less than they should be.

I would definitely agree with that - Lanterns of all colors (but esp. green) seem to go down pretty easily - the GL/GLC books have a VERY high body count.

I have always liked the GL character but just never bought his book; I've been more of a Marvelite aside from buying LSH years ago. I actually happened upon a compilation of the Sinestro Corps War at the public library last year when I was picking up my daughter in the manga section. I liked the art and figured what the heck. It was a great read, and I picked up the remainder of that series at the library, and then month or three back I decided to bite the bullet (geez comics are expensive these days) and add GL and GLC to my regular box at the comic shop, plus picking up some back issues (the Star Sapphire arc and I think all but the first Red Lantern/Sinestro story). The art is great, the story arc far-reaching and interesting, and in general it's just good good good.

Aberzombie, you continue to rack up the cool points.

I have been collecting both series since they restarted, and although I took a break from GL when they started retelling Hal's origin story, I am now a faithful reader of both comics. I will have all of the shirts as soon as they release the Blue Lantern shirt.

Oh yeah, they're all over the place. So far the Green(duh), Orange, Red, Indigo, Yellow, Violet and Black shirts are out. Can't wait to get the blue.

Yeah, I've been meaning to pick up at least the Black Lantern T-shirt. I'll probably get it from my FLGS.

Anyone read the latest issue that shows how the Orange Lanterns recruit??

Spoiler:
They eat you and you become one!! FREAKY!

Well the rumours of

Spoiler:
The Flying Greysons coming back as black lanterns
bugs the hell out of me. They were the 'Buckies' of the DC world.

If they want a Black Lantern counter to Batman, they should never have brought Jason Todd back (wins for dumbest resurrection retcon ever, hands down).

Wait... (looks at Captain America, cries) nevermind.

So, have all you Jordan-ites seen this fan-made trailer? Probably not safe for work (they say the s-word at the end).

Dark Archive

That was very cool!! Good find!
