Shoanti Tribes

Rise of the Runelords

Dark Archive

In my campaign, I have a Shoanti ranger as one of my PCs, and I want to give her a bit more roleplay on the culture clash theme, and as the group heads towards north-east, I might have them encounter a Shoanti tribe. So I need a little inspiration.

What have you guys done with the Shoanti? If you have any written stuff on their culture or the different tribes, can you please post it here?

If you have the middle chapters of CotCT, there's a fair bit of information therein on the Shoanti that should help a lot. :)

I have all the printed material. Unfortunately, and fortunately, one of my players will step up to the screen in CotCT, and I get to be a player, so I don't want to rummage through the books. He'll extract the information for me, and I'm looking forward to it. But what I'm looking for here is the community created stuff.

BTW, will exploring the Shoanti too much ruin anything for us when we get to CotCT? Is exploring the Shoanti culture an essential part of CotCT, so that I'll make it seem trivial then by exploring Shoanti now?

I *highly* recommend working that out with the CotCT GM - it will take some effort, but it will be completely worth it.

If he/she has access to the PDF version, that GM can download the "By Chapter" version and print off those chapters for you. :)

I got my GM to do that for me for my Shoanti characters, and it was totally worth it. I'm not sure which volume it was, but there was an entire chapter focusing on the Shoanti that should help your player out a lot.

Scarab Sages

It's teh 4th book.
I can't wait untli my players get there!

PF 10 A History of Ashes. The chapters "The Cinderlands" and "People of the Storval Plateau" are spoiler free and an excellent resource.

With a few exceptions (probably including the bestiaries), the supplemental articles from PF should be fine for players. I'm sure you're all grown-ups and can be trusted with reading those parts, and only those parts, of the PF books.
