I suspect something is rewriting the text between us and you—most likely something on your computer. Does this happen on other websites? Does it happen with other computers or browsers? Do you have any unusual browser plug-ins? (I could also imagine a virus doing that, but I'm not finding anything in trusted virus databases.) If you see the problem on multiple computers on the same network, but not outside that network, you may be behind a device that's supposed to rewrite blocked content for network users, but it's not configured correctly...

browser plugins... I'll check those.
I thought I had everything in sync on multiple comps (browser wise) but maybe I changed something.
Virus scans come up clear on my end...
I'll check and get back.

It is a Firefox extension.
It never really did anything before, but I guess it was learning which pages I go to and it inserts/changes text which in turn becomes a link to a story fragment(s) then lead you to a story once enough links are clicked. It's called Tumbarumba.
Now I know it works... :)

Sorry for the confusion.

Hahahaha!

Could have been a lot worse, I suppose.

I have a similar issue.

And with that, I really mean that I have that issue. Not my web browser or computer.

Either that, or people have been lying to me. Anyway, it's really embarrassing sometimes. Imagine showing up at some lady's house with a big bowl of whipped cream, a couple of cake decorators, strong silken scarves, and a couple of cheerleader's outfits, only to find out that when she went past you on the street a couple hours earler, she didn't in fact tell you to come to her house, bring aforementioned items and prepare for a real fun afternoon/evening/night/weekend; but actually spoke to her child on the cell phone to tell her that mommy is on her way home and that the her birthday party would be the best ever now she's hired a funny clown.

Not that this happened to me or anyone I know. Just saying.

I still don't know how I knew where she lived, though.

LOL

And to think I was going to blame this on Gary.
