My understanding is that Gen Con Indy has been profitable, and their real problems came from branching out into events such as Gen Con So Cal and Star Wars Celebration IV. These each proved costly lessons, so I expect them to be sticking with what works—that is, focusing on Gen Con Indy, with some additional low-risk revenue from licensing (but not directly running) things like Gen Con UK and Gen Con Australia. So long as they don't head off that path for a few years, I think they'll be ok.
