So... I was just informed by the company I work for Ill be sent to attend the Game Developers Conference at SF ::girly screaming::
Er... anyway, so, since Ill be there, I was wondering if anyone knew some good RPG store or similar around the Moscone Center area. I'm not sure how much time outside the conference I'll have, so the closest the better ;)
Thanks in advance!

I don't know if it's close, but I've always liked Gamescape at 333 Divisidero.

There's Gamescape in San Francisco over on Divisadero (not convenient to Moscone Center, but I don't think any game store is). Across the bay--and easy to get to by BART--is Games of Berkeley in Berkeley and Endgame in Oakland. And slightly south of San Francisco is Gator Games down in San Mateo, which is a truly excellent game store.
If you'd like to hit bookstores of the SF/fantasy/horror bent, I recommend you go to Borderlands in San Francisco. Amazing store, very well run, and a lot of fun. And across the bay, there's Other Change of Hobbit and Dark Carnival, both in Berkeley.

I'm still not used to search google maps for locations. It's a somewhat recent practice down here :)
Thanks you guys for the tips. That certainly helps. I guess Ill learn more about my schedule this week so I can figure out if I'll actually have time to go far from the convention. If I do, I'll bug you guys again about it ;)
And now, back to google maps!

Ive noticed that Gamescape , which seems to be the closest one. But their website doesnt say much other than "games! games! games!" (which includes a lot of classic board games)
Do they have a good amount of rpg books? Note that down here in Brazil such stores are quite rare, so anything would be a plus, but, since Ill probably have little free time, I want to maximize it ;)
I got a cousin living in SF, so Ill try to bug him about moving around in SF, but Ill ask here anyway... How far is San Mateo and what ways can I get there (without a car). Some bus, maybe? Any idea of how long it takes? (the picture I saw of this gator store made my eyes sparkle :))
Thanks again!

I think the "Gamescape" website I found is unrelated to the Gamescape store in San Francisco.
Here's a link to reviews of the local stores:

I should also mention, if you're coming in from another country and are wanting books, for comics, in SF the best place is Isotope:
http://isotopecomics.com/
Actually, I think it's one of the best comics shops, period. It's done a lot like a lounge and the proprietor is both incredibly knowledgeable and also really promotes comics in an amazing way. And it's reasonably close to Moscone, I believe.
You can get anywhere in SF by cab, so that's probably the best option if you're strapped for time.
