Books

Since the next Pf Journal writer is totally new to me, I'd like to hear from my opinionated fellow Paizonians on him. Thanks!

Maybe I forgot to say, Please...

He edited Dragon for a long while (and possibly Dungeon before that, but I can't remember!).

Thanks, ETC. I noticed he came up in old Dragons in my Amazon search, but hadn't looked into that side of him any further. That's a further piece of info I'll tuck into the ponderator.

Serious gamer and all around nice guy.

So...anybody read his fiction?

Anyone? Anyone?

I have read some of his D&D game stuff, which was very good. He always had an eye for details and made sure that his rules were tight (2E). Never fiction beyond that.

Thanks, Jib. Well, it looks like his work has been all on Dragon Magazine or Forgotten Realms novels, and that he is less prolific when it comes to fiction and less well-known a writer than Elaine Cunningham.

Honestly, doesn't ring a bell...

If you'd like to check out my fiction, The Halls of Stormweather and Black Wolf are decent if dated samples. Most of my published fiction is indeed in the Realms under my name, so a Google search (or a peek at Candlekeep) provides a longer list. I am not the physicist, the blues singer, nor the guy who writes about husband abuse. I'm the other one.

The first two chapters of Scions of Cheliax are darker and in a different style from my previous work. (I also think it's a lot better for 10 more years of life and writing, but you'll be the judge.) I start on the final four chapters next week, and I hope you dig them even half as much as I'm digging Golarion.

I bought Black Wolf second hand a couple of years ago, because it was spoken highly of on Candlekeep and because apparently it was hard to find at the time.

I have not read it yet, but I generally trust the good folks at Candlekeep, so I am looking forward to this new series.

Yeah, I remember them. I thought they were quite good.

You wrote "Every dog has its day", too. As far as I can remember, it involves a polymorphed hero, right? Loved that one!

I'll be waiting for Scions of Cheliax with bated breath!

Hey, David, thanks for posting here!
