Will Paizo be introducing another new batch of iconics? Please? Please?
(I'd love to see iconics geared to this setting. Most cool.)
This is unlikely.
We've got iconic characters for all the prestige classes, for example, but apart from Seltyiel (the iconic eldritch knight) we don't have personalities or names for them yet.
The thing about an iconic is that they're, well, ICONIC. Once we start having multiple druids and dozens of rogues, then all of a sudden we're drowning in characters. That isn't what we want.
I wouldn't really expect new iconics until we expand into a new campaign realm... like Tian Xia, or psionics, or something like that. And we're still a LONG way away from that.

So we're stuck... with a dwarf... for a ranger.
That's just frakkin' peachy! :(
Why, James, why? Did we elves fail you in some way? Or were you just trying to throw the mangy little curs a bone since there's no "Dwarves of Golarion" yet?

When you do make up names and personalities for them will they be featured as characters in the adventure paths like the other iconics (like will be in the art and be premade characters at the back of the book, eventually becoming their chosen prestige class). Most importantly, will they be on the covers of the those APs as well??

Unknown. We're probably, at the very least, a year away from having to make that decision.

For my part, I would settle for a little more screentime for the non-Seoni and non-Valeros iconics. Those two are too ubiquitous. I hit my limit with the new RPG cover — which is great — but can someone else get some attention now?
There was time when Paizo could rightly claim to be fighting the cliché. The more the stick to these two characters exclusively, the more ground they lose on that count.

I think with those 2 (along with the other 2) were the first iconics to come out for Paizo & deserve to be on the Rules cover. If there ever is a Rules II book, put the next group on that one.
As a fan of dwarves I must say I don't mind a dwarven ranger (played one in a FR campaign once) as the iconic.
Maybe a twist on the iconics in the future, how about the opposite sex iconics? (female fighter, female ranger, male paladin, etc etc).

Bummer. I was hoping that you would take the iconic characters and use them in the prestige classes, but I think I'm much more flexibile in my views on the iconics. I don't see them as statted out characters that must stay consistent from time to time; I see them as recognizable faces for certain abilities. I liked the way the iconics were handled in the 3.5 rules - you'd see them popping up with all sorts of random abilities/spells from time to time. I also liked the higher level versions of them in the epic handbook.
I wouldn't mind a handful of iconics for the prestige classes that are...well...iconic (e.g., assassin, blackguard, arcane trickster), but the ones that are variations on a role (e.g., archmage type classes), it'd be nice to see the associated iconic dressed up in that prestige class's clothes. You aren't planning on having a new iconic character for each prestige class, right? Just the ones in the core rules?
