So I just checked out the Paizo Blog and the release date for the Pathfinder RPG rulebook has been announced as 08/13/2009 which is the first day of GenCon. I was hoping that we would be able to get our hands on it sooner because of the character conversion from 3.5 to PRPG. I was under the impression that the PFS scenarios premiering at GenCon will be the first Season One adventures to require the PRPG system rules to run. In addition this would require our characters be converted to PRPG compatable versions before playing the new scenarios. This could be a mistaken impression. Am I making a mole hill into a mountain or drawing a false conclusion?

I seem to recall a Living Jungle scenario whose point was to convert characters from second to third edition. In this scenario, the heroes were sent by a shaman or something to a special place of power, where they undertook a ritual of transformation to become "great heroes of the jungle", or somesuch. The module then had an hour scheduled into it for players to convert their characters, before delivering the final encounter in 3rd ed.
Josh, if you're looking for some kind of special Gen-Con event, this could be a fun way to handle conversion :).
