I'm not sure where else to put this, so I hope I'm posting in the right location.
I have read in various threads that the Pathfinder PDFs are created in layers and that it is possible to hide some of those layers so that maps and similar images can be used as player handouts.
The problem is that when I open the Layers navigation tab in my PDF reader, I can't see any layers at all.
I am using Adobe Acrobat 7.0 (my other computer uses Adobe Reader 7.0). Is this option only available on later versions of the reader? I'd appreciate help on this.
Thanks.
Sincerely,
Paris

Thanks, Kruelaid. I am able to view the layers tab, but when I click on it in my documents, no layers show up. That navigation bar is completely empty. Maybe it's just something to do with Acrobat Standard. Hopefully someone else has experience with this and can point me to the right setting.
Thanks, again, for the response.
(Nice map of Sothis, by the way!)

Hmmm. You opened my map with Acrobat 7 and no layers appear.

Sorry, I didn't make myself clear. I meant that I don't see any layers when I open the Paizo PDFs. I haven't tried to open your PDF. The link you posted was to a JPG screenshot.
I did see the PDF link on the maps thread, but I didn't try to download it. I'm currently on a US Navy ship at sea and with the current bandwidth capability, it would take forever to download the 5MB file.
Sorry for the confusion.

If you are sure you are opening a layered document, then you can be sure it works.... errr... or not.
None of Paizo's pdfs have 'switchable' layers as far as I know. You can select and copy their image layers, but not turn the text labels on and off.
Gotcha. That would explain it, then. Thanks for the help!
