In monmouth County New Jersey looking for others in the area to play 3.5/Pathfinder. Played for a long time but friends moved away. Interested in both DMing and playing, though a slight rusty.

I'm in Jersey City, so I'm not super close, but if you did a special Pathfinder Society day or something I might be able to hop on NJT and get out to you.

I miss Jersey. Have fun.

Cool. Jersey city is not that far by train. 45 minutes or so. I can also travel as well. I'll check back on Sunday to exchange info.

Yeah, Jersey gets a bad wrap. I think most people think of the turnpike and Newark, which are the worst things about Jersey (though you've got to use them). Great orchards, great farms, good vineyards & wineries, wonderful woods, canoeing...the four seasons, easy access to Philly & Manhattan. Some fun towns of its own. Come on, what's not to love? As a proud native son of Texas, I give Jersey two thumbs up.

Please refrain from praising NJ. We have too many people here already. Let everyone else think that its is nothing but a mire of ugly highways and toxic waste dumps. It serves to keep people out.

What days are you planning on playing?

Liberty's Edge

As a former New Jersey person (Newark, South Orange, Matewan, Budd Lake), and a current Texan (Houston)(I was born in Cooperstown, NY and grew up mostly in Oneonta, however - mom's from Jersey), Jersey ain't TOO bad.

Y'all can keep the taxes, though...

Dark Archive

I'm from Manchester/Lakehurst originally, so I would definitely have joined you if I still lived in the area. Have fun!

Well, at the moment I'm playing on average 4 days/nights a week in NYC, so I don't really have the availability to add anything more on there. If others were putting together a meetup of Paizo fans or something and I had enough notice, I could try to arrange my schedule to attend, but I wouldn't want to be the one planning anything. If I were, I would plan it for an indeterminate date in the far, far future and then forget about it, since I've got so much on my plate as it is. But I'll check the thread and see what others are planning and hopefully make it to whatever is decided upon.

I give out an email address that goes to an account I give to spammers and I watch it like a hawk until I get an email from said person.

The Exchange

You can also usually replace @ with 'at' and . with 'dot' in an email address without any problems.

I love Jersey, I lived in South Jersey(Franklinville/Monroeville- Go Delsea!) most of my life. I can't live there now though. I had a $1000 car that cost me $2500 a year in liability insurance, and with 6 points on my license I had insurance surcharges of $600 a year on top of that. $3100 a year to drive a $1000 car, and that includes no maintenance, gas, etc.. My uncle is ranting right now about his $10,000 a year property tax that is threatening to make him move or lose my grandmothers land. The property is around an acre and a half, and worth around $250,000.
If it weren't for having the country-wide highest auto insurance rates and second highest property tax (or vice versa) it would be a great place to live.

Yeah, I don't miss the cost of living, particularly property, here in Texas. I rented in Jersey and watched friends go house poor. Still the cost of rent for keeping my daughter in the WW-P school district was only sustainable for so long.
