Is there a reason the beautiful gnomish eyebrows and racial characteristics as beautifully modelled by Lini are dissappearing? Even the second possible gnome kinda-iconic (arcane trickster) doesn't have them, the Campaign setting gnome, while a beautiful illustration doesn't look like Lini, in the way to females of the same race should.
Maybe they were WAR's addition, and you'd prefer a more grounded gnome, but in my opinion, the Lini gnome is an amazing model of making the gnomes look different to halflings. Strenously different, you'd never think Lem and Lini are of the same race, but sadly this delightful differentiation seems to be fading away.
Please, please bring back the Lini-model gnome!
Don't let them bleach into halflings!
Especially for such images as the arcane trickster and future examples of the entire race.
I include in this my endorsement, of Merisiel style elf ears and eyes.

We had a bit of trouble getting artists to depict Pathfinder elves as Pathfinder elves (long ears that don't stick out to the side, solid colors for eyes), but things are going pretty well now.
We don't illustrate as many gnomes, and Lini's not been around as long as Merisiel, so as a result, the "standardization" of gnomes in Pathfinder is just taking longer. We'll get there eventually.

so worth it.
Also, show us some "bleached" gnomes, too. The one in my playtest was imprisoned for a number of years and so has a full beard, wild mane, and mad eyebrows, all greyish from the bleaching.
This is the coolest treatment of gnomes yet in any setting, please do show us!

I love paizo!
Thank you Dr. Jacobs, I'm so glad the lini-gnome is the standard to be obtained!
This kind of service and reply is why I'll be spending money and time on this company for years to come, I'm in college, so I hope those years ar many! And I sincerly appreciate Lini being on the header bar of the pathfinder products page too!
So glad to know also, that if WAR does anymore paizo gnomes, he'll definately know his own standard. YAY!
No just to get at least steve prescott, andrew hou, arnold tsang and eva widermann on the lini train! :D
I'm quite kiddy (new BSG was great).
Finally, having mentioned the store, are the current covers shown for the Great Beyond and Dark Markets the final illustrations, I don't recognise them, but if their from something else that someone else does recognise, that'd answer my question too.

Nope; neither of those has the final cover posted on the store yet.

First of all I second the motion of seeing an illustration for the bleachling gnomes. I really -really- dig the whole idea behind them, and heck just the plot and story hooks possible regarding the gnomes' First World origin.
Secondly, while the cover for TGB isn't posted yet, and while I have an idea what's going to be on the cover, any chance that the artist* has sent you guys a sketch of the cover yet? *tries to peek*
*almost wrote their name there, and not sure if you've mentioned yet who's doing it to everyone else

Mr. Stewart, I find we agree quite often. I am certain that the Great Beyond is in good hands.

Damn! So close, a hint, an inkling, maybe just what plane's inhabitants are represented?
I'm really looking forward to your treatment of them though Mr. Stewart!
