I just started back to school for my Cisco CCNA certification, with plans of getting my CCNP afterwards. All of that is going to take me 2 to 3 years before I am ready to jump anywhere. Now up to this point, I had planned on having the CCNA / CCNP as a backup in case things went sour at my job. But for grins and giggles I looked at monster.com to see what the job opportunites overseas were and to my amazement there were 66 job opportunities in the UK alone. That made me think about my dream of having a 10 year working vacation in Europe. So my question to everyone is what is required for a USA citizent to get a job overseas? Other than a nice hefty bribe that is. ~GRINS~

Good luck with that, Sharoth. It would be an awesome experience. And British chicks dig American accents.
~grins~ Thanks oh Foolish One! I for one have missed you, but that is only because the sight to my rifle was broken! ~winks and grins~ Welcome back and it is good to see you wearing your "face" again, oh poodle boy!

Passport, visa and work permit, I think? Look at the job opportunities, some of the jobs specify that they are not looking for anyone without one (so I, as EU citizen, could apply for those jobs but a person coming from elsewhere could not), while others will help you on bureaucracy and other practical matters should they want you.
Start hunting info from here and embassy pages.
Do you speak other languages? In my experience bigger countries in Europe (UK, France, Germany, Spain...) are quite hard to break into if you don't speak the local language, but smaller countries (Northern Europe, Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland...) will consider easier people who speak just English...so don't limit your sights only to UK.
And international companies are worth checking anywhere.
Bribes work in some places and in others they do not :)
The economy isn't exactly great at the moment here either, but being open to possibilities is always a good thing (says one ex-pat for over four years now...though only inside Europe).
