Here is the background of the wizard in my campaign:
"Camero was raised in the Eladrin city of Mithrendain which exists in the Feywild. His first memory was of studying with your tutor, Fharleneth. In fact all his childhood memories are of studying magic. He has no recollection of either of his parents. When he reached maturity he was finally told what had happened to his parents:
His mother was travelling the mortal realm when her caravan was attacked by a black dragon. She was grabbed by the dragon and the dragon flew off. The other Eladrin fought off the dragon’s minions but she was lost. A year later she turned up in Mithrendain , heavily pregnant. She refused to tell anyone what had happened and whose baby she was carrying, but people guessed and all was definitely not well with his mother. She gave birth to Camero, and then immediately left the Feywild, returning to the mortal realm once more. She did not tell anyone where she was going.
So, when Camero came of age and was free to do as he wished, he left Mithrendain and his master’s tutelage and set off into the mortal realm in search of his mother, his father, and some answers…"
Now, this is because he has the Wrymbloodied trait from the back of the HB, so his father is Dhorlot. I now need to figure out who his mother is and how she fits into the campaign. The question I'm wondering is, should she be a significant member of the plot line or a side issue? And if she's going to be significant, who should she turn out to be?
My current wonderings are pointing me to Thifirane. I'd have to convert her to an Eladrin (not a problem). But would she make a good choice?
The party have just finished Chapter 4. I guess by now Vhalantru (who has taken lots of interest in the party for some time now) might have been able to work out the connection and told Thirifane. She could then come and seek out Camero and have a happy reunion.
I think she is a good choice in as much as she is described as an unlikely candidate to marry. Given her experiences with Dhorlot that makes sense. That experience also might have been what sent her down the road to the Darkside. I'm not sure quite how she will have come to be the head of an ancient line of nobility in Cauldron and Camero have had no idea about it though, so perhaps she is a bad choice after all.
Does anyone have any comments on this idea? Anyone done anything similar in their campaign? Can anyone suggest a better alternative for a lost mother for Camero?
Many thanks for any help

Since it sounds like your using 4th ed, I have to admit I'm far less knowledgable about what does and doesn't work in that regards.
But heres one idea that comes to mind as a major supporting character who could be his mother.
Nidrama.
She follows orders from the celestial beauracracy, even when she doesn't like them. She has shapechanging magic. She's old enough (by a long shot) but otherwise unattached.
Example Scenario-Nidrama the Obedient: The forces of light, in their wisdom, give Nidrama the order to arrange a coupling between her and and one of Dhorlot's offspring. I don't want to get into any sort of alignment debates about this, cause I know its a sticky wicket. Lets just say they see a potential for a greater good in the long run, and at that point in time, Nidrama is willing to follow their orders, so its not an unwilling coupling. If it were her and Dhorlot himself, I could see it being a bit more problematic.
Or we could have the foreshadowing version....
Example Scenario - Nidrama the Rebellious: In a minor bit of "thumbing her nose" to her superiors, Nidrama engages in relationships with good and decent neutral mortals, part to pass the time, part to bring more good into the world. Using polymorph, she could be the male in the relationship, to prevent her true duties from being overly hampered by her dalliances. Or she could put them in an orphanage. (Interesting twist here if you have them wind up in the Vanderboren Orphanage!) Regardless, a recent dalliance was with a draconic descendant of Dhorlot.
I'd try to do more, but my sleep was lacking last night, and my idea well runeth dry. Maybe someone else can bring some to the front.

Thanks for your response.
I actually read someone's idea on here that Vortimax Weer was the only surviving member of a party of adventurers killed by the Slayer (Alurad Sorizan) and thought it was an awesome idea so I had Camero's mother be a member of that party. Camero has now found out about her and her death at the Slayer's hands and so we have another Cagewright forshadowed and well and truly on the party's hit list.
Cheers for the suggests all the same though!
