[Apologies if this is a double post, postmonster might or might not have eaten my first attempt, he's unpredictable that way...]

Complete Arcane had a selection of Feats that granted a few spells (usually cantrip and 1st level) as spell-like abilities; Communicator, Insightful, Necropolis Born, Night Haunt, Soul of the North and Spell Hand.

Since they aren't OGL, and I wanted to make use of Feats that confer some SLAs as a 'power source' to replace Wild Talent in my conversion of the Soulknife into a magical class option, I've decided to whip up some SLA granting feats, based off of monster abilities or racial abilities that confer SLAs.

(Since they already have SLAs, Gnomes, Dark Elves, Duergar, Deep Gnomes and similar races wouldn't have to take a Feat to qualify for the Arcane Soulknife, just as naturally psionic races don't have to take Wild Talent to qualify for the psionic Soulknife.)

Each of these feats fairly obviously derives from some sort of unusual heritage, or some sort of unusual gift from an innately magical race or species.

Friend to Fey
Prerequisites: Fey subtype, or human, dwarf, elf, gnome or halfling blood, Charisma 11+
Effect: 1/day each, you can cast dancing lights, ghost sound, prestidigitation and speak with animals as spell-like abilities at your character level.
Special: A gnome who already has access to these spell-like abilities and takes this feat gains two additional uses of each per day.

Dark Heritage
Prerequisites: elven blood, Cha 12+
Effect: 1/day each, you can cast dancing lights, darkness and faerie fire as spell-like abilities at your character level.
Special: A dark elf who already has access to these spell-like abilities and takes this feat gains two additional uses of each per day.

Fiend-Forged
Prerequisites: Evil alignment, Cha 12+
Effect: 1/day each, you can cast message, darkness and summon monster I (evil creatures only) as spell-like abilities at your character level.

Bathed in Light
Prerequisites: Good alignment, Cha 11+
Effect: 1/day each, you can cast light, message, bless and protection from evil as spell-like abilities at your character level.

Graybeard
Prerequisites: dwarf blood, Cha 11+
Effects: 1/day each, you can cast enlarge (self only) and invisibility (self only) as spell-like abilities at your character level.
Special: a duergar who already has access to these spell-like abilities and takes this feat gains two additional uses of each per day.

Skin like Slate
Prerequisites: gnome blood, Cha 12+
Effects: 1/day each, you can cast blindness/deafness, blur, and disguise self as spell-like abilities at your character level. Each time you cast one of these spells, you also lose a daily use of one of the following gnomish spell-like abilities; dancing lights, ghost sound, prestidigitation, speak with animals.
Special: A gnome who has gained the ability to cast these cantrip-level spell-like abilities more than once per day still cannot cast any of these higher level effects more than a single time each. A deep gnome who already has access to these spell-like abilities gains two additional uses of each per day.

Wretch Magic
Prerequisites: Cha 11+
Effects: 1/day each, you can cast detect magic, detect good and invisibility (self only) as spell-like abilities at your character level.

Blackscale
Prerequisites: Cha 12+
Effect: 1/day each, you can cast acid splash, darkness and resist energy (acid, self only) as spell-like abilities at your character level.

Fire in the Blood
Prerequisite: Cha 12+
Effect: 1/day each, you can cast locate object[i], [i]ray of fire (as ray of frost, but inflicts fire damage) and resist energy (fire, self only) as spell-like abilities at your character level.

Frozen Soul
Prerequisite: Cha 11+
Effect: 1/day each, you can cast obscuring mist, ray of frost and resist energy (cold, self only) as spell-like abilities at your character level.

Sky-kissed
Prerequisite: Cha 11+
Effect: 1/day each, you can cast create water, ray of shock (as ray of frost, but inflicts electrical damage) and resist energy (electricity, self only) as spell-like abilities at your character level.

Shadow among the Trees
Prerequisite: Cha 11+
Effect: 1/day each, you can cast acid splash, charm person and resist energy (acid, self only) as spell-like abilities at your character level.

Mage-blooded
Prerequisite: Ogre blood, Cha 12+
Effect: 1/day each, you can cast disguise self, darkness and invisibility (self only) as spell-like abilities at your character level.

Mein of Brass
Prerequisite: Lawful alignment, Cha 11+
Effect: 1/day each, you can cast detect magic, disguise self and produce flame as spell-like abilities at your character level.

Clouds for Eyes
Prerequisite: Chaotic alignment, Cha 11+
Effect: 1/day each, you can cast create water, feather fall and invisibility (self only) as spell-like abilities at your character level.


Very nice. I'm in a 3.5 Age of Worms game with a player who loves SLA feats. I'll have to direct her this way.

Glad ya like 'em. The Complete Arcane ones, much like the 3.5 Gnome SLA (stuck at CL 1) were sub-par, IMO, but with the Pathfinder Gnome having it's SLAs at character level, I felt free to open up these Feats and make them a little more useful.

Some of the critters were a bit fun to pick and choose appropriate 'bloodline gifts' or 'pact blessings' for. It's amazing how different the powersets are for 'demons' 'tieflings' and 'half-fiends' given that they are all supposed to be flavors of the same meal...

I mainly wanted a variety of them for an Arcane Soulknife concept (since it would need some inherent magical power source, just as a psionic Soulknife needs some inherent power points), but some of them might be fun as 'bloodline feats lite' for non-Sorcerers.
