Hello, all! I'm putting the finishing touches on a new character for the continuation of our Red Hand of Doom campaign that ended for awhile after our entire party was devoured by a certain "blue meanie." I'll be playing a very atypical cleric. Without going into much detail, I'm looking for a 3.5 cleric spell that creates difficult terrain--the lower level, the better. Almost any WotC book is fair game; I've got most of 'em save the Forgotten Realms books.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Do you have access to the Plant domain? Entangle sort of acts as difficult terrain.
Most of the spells I can think of are druid spells: Plant Growth, Spike Stones, Sleet Storm, Ice Storm (?), Spike Growth, etc.
Some might be in other domains, like Earth, Water, Plant, etc.
EDIT: If you're not married to being a cleric, but still want access to those types of spells, maybe try being a druid or archivist (Heroes of Horror). The Shugenja from Complete Divine might also be interesting....and don't worry about the Oriental flavor. I'm playing a dragon shaman in a Celtic/Norse campaign, and the DMPC was a Norse Shugenja. I forget what he called himself, though. Star or Sky Skald?

Entangle and spike growth were the first two that came to mind. I'd forgotten about the weather-based spells, though! That makes me think that I might be better off going with a magic item that creates the difficult terrain rather than an actual spell. I know there's one in "Frostburn"--a bottle that can create slick areas. Maybe there are others...?
I'm married to the cleric, yeppers. The party needed--drumroll!--a dedicated healer, but rather than going the rock 'em sock 'em crusader route or the pious Pelor-type, he's a confidence man: a Cloistered Cleric from "Unearthed Arcana", dedicated to the fates rather than a specific deity. His domains are Trickery and Mind, with the Cloistered Cleric bonus of the Knowledge domain. I went with some nice feats (Sacred Healing, Touch of Healing) for mechanical reasons and to allow for the 'faith healing' he uses to gain the trust of his marks. Switching to Plant would be a stretch.
Thanks for the ideas on the spells, 'Dan! Still looking for clerical ones, if they're out there. I'm also going to do some digging in "Magic Item Compendium" and elsewhere for items that duplicate the spells like those you mentioned.
