Not a problem. I wasn't offended, just saw a good chance to create a bit of a unique character. Ronin feels much the same way about loggers and industrialists that pollute the natural world. You have to admit that an LDS elf does not fit into the stereotype. Neither does a religious runner.

I am playing neonspider, a technomancer, and he'll be the hacker I am guessing

I dont know if he'll allow a hacker and a rigger, if he does make a technomacer that does the rigging instead of the normal hacking

A rigger would be acceptable but because I'm forbidding military grade weapons, at least for the first run, they might be somewhat limited.

I'm basing prevalence of magic on these statistics:
only 1% of the world population, 5 billion, are magically active.
Of that 1%; 50% are just magically aware, 25% are physical adepts, 20% are magical adepts and 5% are full magicians/shamans
Out of a population of 5 billion, 25 million are magically aware, 12.5 million are physical adepts, 10 million are magical adepts and 2.5 million are full Magicians/shamans. so out of a city population of 5 million only 2,500 are fully magicial.
well a hacker and a rigger are the same thing. A hacker does software, a rigger does hardware/vees and such.
so do mean only one hacker/rigger... or is one hacker and one rigger fine?

3 main problems:
- No ranks in any combat skills: As is, you have 1 die for ranged combat or 4 dice for melee. Good luck hitting anything.
- No contacts: It's not what you know, it's who you know. In the veiw of the rules, you know no-one.
- A more minor problem, you haven't chosen your adept powers yet.

ok man i am still knew with the rules so does a technomancer have a pan? Not sure if they would or not and may have over looked where it says one way or the other

Hey... I lost the thread. I was going to grab a pregen from the book since I don't know the system well yet. I was thinking Covert Ops or Gunslinger Adept, whichever you need most. I'm leaning towards Gunslinger

if ya cut and pasted the pregen it's fine. They have added other things into the total to get the 250. The 200 is jut the attributes themselves if i recall.
What seeker said, if it's a pre-gen just use as is.

Do you manually format your posts like that or is there a way to configure it to post like that? I click on the link which puts the BBCode in the URL, it's nice and fast but I like the shorter format in your post. I didn't see a way to get nice short output like yours
I just manually delete the "1d6=" portion after I post it.

SR4 really is much more deadly than any I have played before. In an SR1 campaign I played in, my character shot a Red Saumari point blank in the chest with a .50 calibre rifle and the GM staged it down to a minor wound. This is much more realistic, and at the same time, more frustrating in some ways.
