Deity Information

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

HI all,

I'd just like to know if anyone can tell me where I can find information on the various deities of Golarion.

I know there are entries in the various Pathfinder Adventure path books -- may I know which ones cover specific gods? I do have the one on Lamashtu.

I also figure that Gods and Magic is a good book on the subject, but do any of the other adventures or chronicle books cover the gods?

Thanks for any help!

Pathfinder #2: Desna
Pathfinder #5: Lamashtu
Pathfinder #8: Abadar
Pathfinder #11: Zon-Kuthon
Pathfinder #14: Cayden Cailean

Not out yet:
Pathfinder #17: Calistria
Pathfinder #20: Sarenrae
Pathfinder #23: Rovagug

Hope that helps! The fan-compiled PathfinderWiki is awesome - everybody should bookmark it! :D

i would like more information about what the economic role each religious group has. i understand that the cleric of abbadar run the banks in certain areas, and are lawyers, but it would be nice to have jobs for every group of clergy. you didnt have anything listed for Desna, and it was missing from the campaign guide

do clergy of Erastil get paid to bless crops and hunts. to clergy of Saranrae run a clinic for those clinically evil ^^. what are some grounding roles for those who want to play realistic clerics.

( a list of preferred professions and crafts would be very nice!)

Thanks you very much! And I forgot, I also have the Pathfinder that lists Abadar.

But who is Cayden Cailean? I never heard of him/her/it before now.

I assumed the clerics of Asmodeus would be the lawyers...

A great source book for deities and the role of clerics is GURPS Religion

This book goes into some interesting aspects of religion, the different roles of religions, the different forms it can take, and the roles of its clergy. There is sections on symbols and skills and all sorts of interesting things.

Now, it is a GURPS supplement, but like most GURPS products it is really more informational and can very easily be ported over to any game system.

The only problem I find with this and other GURPS sourcebooks is that once you get one you will want to get others.

He's listed in the runelords and crimson throne players' guides, and in the campaign setting. He's the drunken hero god. This was in the blog, and gives a good sense of him;

"2765: Cayden Cailean drunkenly survives the Test of the Starstone."

He's the god of adventurers, risks, and booze. He's the 3rd deity to ascend from mortality by taking the test of the Starstone. He's been on the list of deities from the start.

EDIT: Doh! I got SCOOPED!

Will do. Thx!

I'm working out a couple of indexes that might be worthy. They may not be as pretty as they could be though. One's a Feat summary, the other's gonna be a Class Skill/Ability summary.

I'll look thru the wiki. Maybe someone ninja'd me on this side project.
