I've figured out what the fleshwarps in today's blogs are!

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

Silver Crusade

It took a while to work out all the clues, but here goes:

Spoiler:
The brown fleshy tentacled tree-trunk of an abomination used to be an elf. The other one was a troglodyte.

In all seriousness though, I guess this answers the question I had left over from the drider blog entry that I forgot to ask:

Second Darkness SPOILERS

Spoiler:
Does the fleshwarping process generally have the same type of result for members of one particular race? X will always turn into Y? Is it a choice made by the house that came up with fleshwarping, or is does it just turn out that way "naturally"?

I can see where you are coming from for the brown one (Ear, Eyes...), but what gave you the idea for the right one? It is reptilian, but other than that, it looks rather draconic to me. I would have guessed "Kobold"

heh the names are in the pics

And now we know what happens to the 'good drow' on Golarion ;-)

Wow, the elf one is so repulsively...COOL! Big thumbs up to whoever painted that monstrosity!

Yeah, I just looked at the filenames... ;-)

Those are some quite excellent guesses, Mikaze!

And yes. A creature that's fleshwarped always turns out into the same creature. All drow become driders, for example.

So, what do you get when the drow fleshwarp a flumph? a giant space hamster? Dare I suggest it...a GAZEBO?

+1 vote for Gazebo. I'd never want to fight one of those.

I used to have one of those in my backyard growing up. What genius though that naming a monster out of a wooden garden structure was a good idea?

James said at one point what fleshwarped halflings turned into... I gotta dig that quote up. I think it was some sort of Giant Frog thing.

Nah, that wouldn't be so bad.

They turn into the little person in the red poncho from that slasher movie?

I thought they already were psychotic little murderers. Stereotyping. Sorry.

Spoiler:
Filthy hobbitses.

I'm guessing it is:

Spoiler:
Body Snatchers?

Ok, call me ignorant, but what the heck are the fleshwarps?

Spoiler:
They're mensioned in PF 15 in the "drow of golarion" section. And they're going to be further explained in PF 16.

I don't think it's much of a spoiler considering it's on the blog page. But if you are a player in Second Darkness maybe skip this... though I don't think it actually reveals any plot elements.

Spoiler:
Flesh Warps are Drow creations used to punish enemies, criminals, or anyone they feel like punishing. They use a combination of alchemy and magic to warp a living (often intelligent) creature into an abomination. The pictured ones are elf and troglodyte.

And they don't "breed true;" they spawn Kiefers.

Oh cool, thanks. I am still waiting on my shipment to get here. I am glad to see it wasn't something that I missed.
