Pathfinder Society desparately needs some sort of online calendar, kinda like the RPGA uses, so that I can track down PFS events within driving distance. If such a thing exists, please point me toward it.

This an online reporting for store and home games are at the very top of Gary's every-growing todo list. No one's given a definitive live date for it yet, but PFS features should be the next additions to the paizo site.

If you look at the other threads in the PFS forum, there is one with a Googlemap of PFS member locations, many have either email or phone numbers attached, so if you find someone in your area you can email them.

Agreed, and one guy is pretty close to me, but it's just a step away from someone saying "there will be a game on this day at this time; we will be running this scenario."

This is year 0 that means that all the pieces aren't in place. Do what you can do find a way to help and spread the word.

You can set up a Yahoo Group the have a calendar feature built in we can each list upcoming games.

Have you contacted your local gaming store posted on gamers seeking gamer sites like en-world. Contacted local cons about adding rounds of Pathfinder.

You can wait for it to happen and it might or might not work or you can make it happen.

Our goal is to have a calendar by the end of season 0.

Rich,

I appreciate your enthusiasm. Believe me, I am excited about Pathfinder Society too. I have taken the steps of joining a Yahoo group dedicated to the cause, and I have talked with a few guys there who are in somewhat close proximity to me. That said, my attempts at finding people to play any sort of RPG through the local gaming (i.e. comics) shop previously turned up about one person total. I periodically drive to Louisville and (more rarely) Toledo to game with established groups in those cities, neither of which wants to play exclusively Pathfinder Society.

Anyway, I'm rambling, but the point is, I have tried to get something together, still trying in fact. Even if it does come together, there's a strong possibility that I might be running the games. Quite frankly, I would MUCH rather play.

Couple this with teh fact that I have a very busy professional life (I'm a general surgeon), and it's just easier for me to take a weekend off and travel to the nearest gameday than it is to spend tons of time pounding the pavement, trying to build something from the ground up.

Josh,

I appreciate your attentiveness to my request, not that it was my request that prompted plans for a Calendar. Still, I'll be happy to see it. Until then, I'll beat the bushes where I can to dig up new players.
