Before WW2 a secret research unit refered to as Detatchment 731 was established to conduct research into Biological Weapons.
"Teams of Japanese Tourists" visited China and released an assortment of these biologicals using Hollow Walking Canes, "Flea" dispersal Pens, Contamination of Village Wells, ect. Plague outbreaks in parts of China, lead back to the activities carried out by Detatchment 731.
In the Years that followed, the organization established production facilities to produce a monthly output of 800-900Kg Typhoid, 600Kg Anthrax, 1 Ton of Cholera, and 800Kg Paratyphoid; the equipment to mass produce, and the weapons of dispersal.
In the Testimony given during Soviet Trials of Japanese Personel (Pingfan was just across the border from the Soviet Union) it was revealed that numerous US Prisoners of War were experimented on by Detatchment 731 personnel in a selection of Prisoner of War camps.

The Terrorist Risk: The trial Transcrip gives such detailed and accurate information on the freely available equipment, Techniques, and Experiments and Deployment technologies that the document now poses a security risk in the Hands of any would-be Terrorist (home grown or otherwise).
Consider a terrorist culturing anthrax in the back of a refrigerator with little more that agar gelatine or Yoghurt as a media, Dehydrating the substance to an "Aerosol Powder" in the average tumble dryer, then extracting through the lint filter with a garbag and a low power "vacuum" from a child's toy.
Lets put this in context with say the capacity of a Terrorist to smuggle guncotton onto an airplane as the stuffing in a coat and igniting it with a "wall socket" onboard.
Would you say that the legacy of two world wars is still a threat to modern civilization?

Would you say that the legacy of two world wars is still a threat to modern civilization?
Every current conflict we have now has a correlation to previous conflicts. You can make any correlation you want. truth is most of them have some basis in reality whether we wish them to or not. It is time for humanity to take a stand and not have every sin our fathers made bring horror and pain to our children and their children.
