So, it looks like i might well be playing The second darkness on a saturday from now on. I don't have a copy of the companion yet, so i might bounce a character concept of you, to see if you might let me know how it would fit with the campaign. We will be using the Beta i beleive.
I am considering a varisian sorceress up to level six and ten levels of harrower, with any remaining levels being given over to sorcerer again.
Conceptually she would be a Varisian seer, who has left her family after a series of weird visions and strange dreams, hoping to find the source.

That concept would work just fine.
You will want to have a reason for your character to be in Riddleport, so start thinking about that. Shouldn't be too hard if something in the dreams led him/her there.
Additionally, keep in mind that you will have the option to take some traits. One of those traits will be campaign specific and have a reason for you to attend a specific event in Riddleport.

Hmm... I'm not sure I would want my players on this particular forum considering it's chock full of spoilers.
There is a great campaign specific trait (#5) which should fit rather well with your 'dreams and visions' concept. Try not to indulge in the spoilers around here, this should be a great campaign :)

i am well aware of the spoiler content, given that a, i am the person who got the guy whos running the game to run Second darkness, b, have been running Rise of the runelords for the group before this. I am a grown up, i can avoid reading things that might spoil a game for me :P
