Hook Mountain and Human Bane

Do Human Bane Weapons affect half breed creatures like half-orcs or half-elves? I am running Hook Mountain Massacre and the PC's will be fighting Jagrath Kreeg and his human bane weapons. Now, this party doesn't have a single human, what it has is two half-elves a half-orc a halfling and an elf. Would the human bane weapon actually affect any of the half breeds?

to avoid confusion dont post your questions in 2 areas of the boards, I was about to post a link in this thread to your other post in the General board untill I saw it was the same poster.

If you're using 3.5e rules, then they don't count as humans, but in Pathfinder Beta, elf blood and orc blood state that they count as both human and elf/orc, so human bane works in Pathfinder but not in 3.5e.

Races of Destiny clarifies that half-breeds are treated as both human and whatever else equally. So bring on the human bane weapons.

Not sure why the OP did that, but in the interests of focussing as much information as possible to support the AP, I will post a link here to that other thread. *link*

Edit:
I know recently I've thought on occasions that I've posted a thread but it hasn't shown up on the boards, and I've had to wait several minutes for it to turn up. <shrug> It's not always clear if a thread post has been successful.

My apologies for posting in two locations. I was trying to get an answer as soon as possible before game began so I got a little underhanded and posted in two locations. Naturally my actions weren't necessary as they didn't even really get close to encountering the bbeg of Fort Rannick by the time game was called so my maneuvering for a quick response was for naught. My apologies to the moderators and anyone else confused by the double post.

I actually had fun with this. One of the PCs in my Rise of the Runelords game was secretly a hellbred, a race of outsiders who are owned in escrow by the devils. She'd been doing her best to keep it a secret, but Pappy was very disturbed by the fact that his bane weapon didn't do any extra damage. "You ain't human, girl. This hook don't lie!"
