Please use sturdier package material!

Hi there,

the package containing PF 13, PF map pack and the PFCS arrived today. Great books I am very much looking forward to reading. Unfortunately for quite some time my reading pleasure is affected by one thing again and again: I can't remember the last package whose content didn't show bent edges or even bent spines.

I was most surprised that even this big package of one thick hard cover, the maps and PF 13 is no exception. Even the PFCS has a bent spine.

Please use sturdier package material or thicker cushioning.
It's no pleasure if your brand new books look upon arrival as if they had already seen heavy use.

I am very sorry for the dinged up books! We are constantly trying to find the right balance between protection and keeping shipping costs down. Unfortunately for the hardcover shipments, the products themselves would bring the weight of the package nearly to the four pound mark, leaving very little room for packaging. If an international package goes over four pounds, then the shipping cost jumps up by a huge amount.

We will be and have already re-evaluated our international shipping processes to avoid these types of situations in the future.

thanks for writing back.
What about these "bubbly" filling materials. Weight increase would be zero (weight of air is neglectable) and only the measures of the package would increase somewhat.

(assuming that this kind of filling material doesn't cost too much)
