I hover on my lotus blossom, meditating, levitating, making my mind clear of all things but my breathing. All the vapidity of the material world is as nothing.
Aaaah.....satori.

I just happen to be an itsy bitsy spider. Trying to consider what I did in a previous incarnation to deserve such a fate.

Oh, hey. Water spout. Looks inviting enough.

Sovereign Court

Buddha? Is that how you're explaining the beer gut?

Liberty's Edge

Desire is the root of all suffering. I no longer desire Callous Jack to STFU. Ergo, I no longer suffer.

I hate to point this out, but in order to achieve enlightenment, you need to recognize that all beings are connected and that individuality is an illusion.

So you ARE a comic-book-guy.

Thanks Heathy! I've been trying to figure out somewhere to hang other than the same old toxic pits. I could really use some zen.

Not per se, but I'm feeling burned out on the internets lately, and it's nice to have a place to chill.

Liberty's Edge

My son, first day of kindygartin...
He comes home.
First day of kindygartin, he's allready Holden Caulfield.

"She tell us not wun with scissows. Then, she wun wif da scissows. It was stupid cwap."

I don't know what to do. I don't know how to tell him, "if you fight they'll just beat you harder. I know. Believe me, I know." I gotta do something, but I'm at a loss. I'll figure it out though.

Yeah. I guess I gotta ask the teacher to tell him, "don't run with scissors. It's dangerous. IF you RUN with SCISSORS, I'll tell your father. He shaunt be amused." I mean, what do I say? Don't talk to my kid like he's five? Wait, he is five.

I know it's funny too, but I don't know what to do for him.

Sovereign Court

Have him hire Sebastian and represent him for any future dealings with said teacher.

Liberty's Edge

He might turn Sebastian to the dark side.

He came up to my wife the other day, and said, "momymomy..momy...pooto id da...ninfe pwanet...it da fuddest fum da sun."
So my wife tells him it's no longer considered a planet.
He got madder than hell.
He says,
"Who did dis? Do da astwanots know about dis? Are dey mad too?"

IDK, I mean, you can tell him not to run wit' scissors, lady.
I don't mean to sound like I'm ragging the teacher; I know it's a hard job, but I don't know what to do.

Findin' your way through the internets today takes everything you got.
Threadjacks and trolls all the way, comments tasteful as goblin snot.

Wouldn't you like a civil board?

Everyone at Paizo knows your name...
And that you like the Bella Sara game...
You wanna be where you can see

I'm sorry, now was someone saying something about serene bossoms? That's a topic I can really curl up to!

Scarab Sages

I get the feeling some of us felt down after the "comic-threadjacking-thread" debacle. I mean, what is the point of posting something humourous if my save DC is not high enough to end the nerd-rage. Somedays I feel like Mark Hamill at a comic-con, except I don't have a real lightsaber on loan from George Lucas.

Scarab Sages

You should try this temple in Kamakura Japan . I've been there twice - really cool and very serene, even with all the tourists.

Liberty's Edge

I'll try that.

What, was I the only one driven to tear out my hair over that thread and the ignoring of comic threadjacking?! ;)

Sorry, Tarren, I was being facetious. I was hoping no-one would remember that the thread in question was actually quite fun and light-hearted. :)

Anyone else see the Muppet Show where Animal goes "Serene"? It's probably on YouTube, but I don't get that at work so I can't search for it.

Scarab Sages

James Coburne helps Animal become "Serene".

My favorite to this day was The Great Muppet Caper. Charles Grodin as the villain! Diana Rigg as Lady Holiday! The Happiness Hotel! It's a classic!
