Me and my friend both had a really tough time picking for Andoran (Cleric and Paladin of Iomedae) I picked up the one that increases overland movement and he picked the ship one. Osirion's 25% stabilization feat is pretty nifty, as is Master of Pentacles and Dervish.
Remember you can use Survival untrained for things other than tracking, so be sure you remember the +2 to Survival Explorer offers.

I do, and have a pretty good survival score considering I have no ranks in it, yay for wisdom based skills.

Sovereign Court 4/5

I made a late discovery regarding these faction feats; they are more like regional feats than factional. A pathfinder originally from Ustalav and serving Taldor in their noble cause wouldn't really have any of the swashbuckler-ish traits as the natives do.

Just sayin'.

Yeah, I agree there's one Taldan feat that's more logical for someone from Ustalav than the others. In case I ever DM at a con, I've made a bunch of pregens, and my pregenned F Gnome Druid, Besh Almondcastorshade, has that very same feat.

Ain't no rockstar performance artist noise, neither!

I say, power to em, if thats the type of player they are. Pathfinder is a role-playing game last I checked. Not a ROLL playing game and if folks are so focused on finding an edge, thats fine because we all enjoy playing RPGs for different reasons. This way we all have fun, from power players to wacky actors flailing about and singing their bard spells aloud.

Could we please get rid of the "rollplaying vs. roleplaying" fallacy? It's getting really old.

Just because someone is playing an effective character doesn't mean that they're not roleplaying. Just because someone's character is suboptimal doesn't make that person a better roleplayer.

As for the roleplaying/competitiveness factor of PFS, I'd actually have to say that I wouldn't agree with you. It is most certainly competitive: it's about getting all the bennies in a season to your faction so that your faction will have a benefit in the coming season, it's about one-upping people from other factions in order to make sure that yours comes out at the top in the end. As for the roleplaying aspect, as far as I'm concerned it does exist in PFS, but it's largely undermined by the fact that as PFS is a living campaign you always have that nagging feeling that there are hundreds of other people out there who have played that scenario with varying outcomes. Thus you can be most certain that whatever your character does isn't really "canon" and no matter how well you characterize your character he or she is always a non-mover in the larger course of things. The only contribution your character has to the world at large is giving points to his faction's pool.

Having a visible effect on the world around you is, to me, a very important part of roleplaying. If I didn't get that sense in my home campaigns I might just as well play WoW and play the same instances over and over again.

I do realize that this is not a flaw in PFS but a flaw in living RPG campaigns in general and no viable solution to it has been offered yet.
