Chad "All talk and no walk" Johnson of the Bengals stated that he knows plenty of people, including himself, that could beat Michael Phelps in swimming right now.
Sombody please cast a permanent silent spell on him. I'll pay 5X the spell cost.
For the record, I'm a Steelers fan. He has talked so much smack over the years and we continue to shut him down and beat his team repeatedly.

Huh!? No idea who Chad Johnson is, but last time I looked Michael Phelps was a freaking fish!
Beat him at swimming? Maybe if he was slowed down under the weight of half a ton of Olympic medals.

Yesterday (Wed) on the show Pardon the Interruption on ESPN. Have yet to see it on the internet though.
He went on to say that there are plenty of great talents who don't get the chance to compete. Such as those from the inner city and such.

Which is possibly true, but definitely meaningless as it's essentially unfalsifiable. Anybody at a public swimming pool doing 200m in 2 minutes would quickly get noticed; plenty of sports recruit very successfully from inner cities and the like.
Phelps has set 5 world records in the last week, there is no evidence to suggest there are better swimmers around, speculating that there might be we just can't see them is akin to Russell's Teapot.

I would love to see an all proceeds go to charity PPV where Chad Johnson swims against Michael Phelps and then Phelps plays football against Johnson. I'm will to bet that Phelps would beat Johnson at football, rather than Johnson beating Phelps at swimming. The money should go to developing athletics programs for inner city youth.

By this he meant black people.
