Reading the Campaign guide there are a few weapons based off the factions. Are we going to gain proficiency in these for being in the faction?
Can you cite specifics? I'm not sure at all what you're talking about. Though, regardless, there are no free weapon proficiencies based on faction.

For now, stores will have to run PFS games like everyone else. September's scenarios release to the public the last week of September.

The exclusivity window got shelved when the Society became a one-man job. I have no idea if that will ever happen since it requires me to get six weeks ahead of schedule and currently I'm just on schedule. As for tracking stores, if they list their PFS events in the event system at paizo.com/pathfindersociety, then folks can find them.
