Yup; drow in Golarion have black, purple, blue, or even dark gray skin. Depends on the drow. (AKA depends on the artist.)
Well, frankly, the purple skin looks fantastic. The dead white eyes and purple skin seem to tie them in with mind flayers and other nasty things that live underground. It really makes the alien nature of the drow come out and it removes the whole 'black skin=bad people' thing. Well done!

Some drow have red eyes too. The point is, when we're working with numerous artists, not all of them are going to bring the same interpretation of a drow to the table, nor do we want them to. Just as there are different colors of skin in humanity (and demihumanity), there's different shades among the drow. It doesn't mean much more than that, though.

Drow have usually suffered from a lack of individuality in artwork. A notable exception is in the webcomic "Drowtales: Moonless Age," especially the early chapters with Kern & Kite's manga-style illustration, with great use of the color pallette by Kite.
Too bad the storytelling in that one doesn't measure up to the art.

Heh, I actually rather like the storytelling in the Drowtales comic, especially now that they're going back through and redoing the earlier chapters to fit the story they settled on for the later chapters.

well, keep in mind that the only female Smurf was artificially created by Gargamel, too, so...that raises even more questions
Back to the topic at hand, though...I do like the coloration of these Golarion Drow, though I also like worlds where dark elves are more along the lines of Lodoss War dark elves, such as Pirotess :)
