Dragon*Con - any Paizoans going?

Gamer Connection

The Exchange

Anyone heading to DragonCon this year?

Dark Archive

I'll be there, as will 2-3 other members of my group.

Liberty's Edge

Planning to be, and hoping against hope that I can get a couple of the PFS mods under my belt so I can run them for my home group this fall...

The Exchange

Yep. I am going to focus on PFS and LFR. The tickets are up for sale and, as always, seem to be going fast.

Liberty's Edge

I should be going for at least two days if work permits. I want to meet Gail Z. Martin, author of The Chronicles of the Necromancer series.

Yes, with four others. I'm down for two PFS games, and a few LFR, plus Return to the Moathouse.

Grand Lodge

I and my wife will be in attendance, along with a friend. Not sure if he'll be gaming or just running amok.

My sweetheart and I will be there (along with at least two friends) for the whole weekend, with others popping in for a day or two.

And it can't get here soon enough - gods, do I need this vacation...

T-Minus 27 days and counting! :)

T-2, that would be.

Silver Crusade

I fly out from Colorado Springs early Friday morning, and look forward to getting my geek on.

I'm heading over Friday morning along with several buds. Maybe we can get in on a PF game. I remember earlier that Vic said Paizo would not have an official presence at DC, but I wonder if any Paizo staff is making the trip?

Nope, nobody from Paizo is going to be at DragonCon this year. We have 4 people at GenCon UK and then we are conventioned out for the year! Heck, we aren't even going to PAX and it is in our own backyard here in Seattle!

Have fun at DragonCon and say hi to Pat Henry, the guy who owns and runs DragonCon, for me!

Looking good for Paizo this year in the UK from my daytrip to Gen Con UK.

Is anyone actually getting together? Finding a game seems harder than it's worth.

The Exchange

Well, I made it back from DragonCon today after a great weekend. We got to game quite a bit, including playing through the Silent Tide in an official Pathfinder Society game. It was an excellent short adventure and I have to say that was the highlight of the trip.

I'm not so sure about that, the "purple nurple" ranks pretty high for a highlight of the trip.

Dark Archive

I attended Dragon*Con but missed out on the gaming. I have been out of the loop concerning gaming for a few years now. I've tried here and there to put together groups, but they always fail due to conflicting schedules, etc. And I have only discovered in the days since Dragon*Con this Pathfinder Society. And I am now intrigued. ;)

Anyway, I guess my question here (without starting a new thread) is are there any members of the Pathfinder Society in the metro Atlanta area? I'm curious about playtesting the Pathfinder RPG, since it seems to have maybe smoothed out some of the kinks that turned me off to 3.X editions.

As a side note, while at Dragon*Con did anyone catch the information at the Con Nooga booth? This smaller start-up convention held it's inaugural run this past February. I am planning to attend next Feb, and am considering dusting off the DM hat to run a game or two. So learning more about the Pathfinder RPG would be great! It would be cool to see some Society games ran there as well.

Thanks!

Unfortunately I had to skip the Pathfinder mods. I had a big chunk of time taken by professional obligations and the rest of my time was spent playing LFR.

Got to try out PFS as well as LFR. Liked what I saw, but it was hard to get things together. Way more structured than I expected.

Unrelated note, did anyone else catch the stunning Witchblade cosplay?

Is that what it was - the chick with the full body tattoo, thong, and electrical tape?

Pictures, or it didn't happen.

*chuckle*

Maybe I'll make Dragon*Con next year. My wife kiboshed it this year; something about her "sister" and "having a baby." I wasn't paying close attention at the time.

I would have taken a picture but my wife would have killed me dead with no chance of a rez.

That and the amount of silicone ... um ... augmentation ruined the whole thing for me.

Grand Lodge

Bah, you obviously haven't read much Witchblade.

It'll probably be up on a Dragon Con gallery before too long.

Hopefully I will be at the 2009 Dragon Con. Hopefully!

Grand Lodge

Ah, sorry about that. Thought never crossed my mind.

Didn't get you in trouble did I? ^_^

Looking at the rest of that person's pictures, I love the Iron Man shots in there. I just wish I could have found those folks myself - that night was crazy though.

Did anyone else pop into the Firefly Shindig over at the Sheraton? Good party.... :)
