Is there a prize?
Well, last time I got the millionth order anywhere, I won a credit of some amount of money X, where X < 0, credited DIRECTLY to my account (no paperwork to fill out at all, it was very sweet), coupled with the delivery of some items to my house in the next two weeks or so.

Oooooo. I hope it was me!!!
As for how Paizo numbers orders, I guess a lot have been skipped along the way due to cancellations, order splits and combinings. There was a post from Vic, Cosmo or Gary a while back on the topic, but it's lost to the nerfed searching at the moment.

One has to wonder if their numbering system started with 0000001, though. I mean, it probably did, but maybe not.
The first customer order number was "19" (1-18 were used up in testing). On June 6, 2003, our first sale was a subscription to Undefeated Magazine. (At the time, Dragon and Dungeon subs were handled by a third party service, and that was actually the only thing you could buy.)
However, "actual" order numbers aren't consecutive, because shopping carts are really just incomplete orders, so as soon as somebody puts something in their cart, they use an order number even if they never submit it. (That also means that actual orders come in out of sequence—if you submit a cart you've been keeping around for a while, your order number will be lower than someone submitting a fresh cart at the same time.)
By the way, order 1,000,000 is for a copy of the finished Pathfinder RPG, so it won't ship for over a year!

I think they are just protecting Sebastian. It is probably a few additions to his now impressive Bella Sara collection.
