In the same vein as the Spells and ritual threads.
Lets put together some unique spells and rituals for my favourite 2E class.....The Necromancer.
Lets avoid summoning spells as I think we'll get to many Wow comparisons.
That said I'll start the ball rolling (very poorly) with a summoning ritual.
Guardian of Khem
With the preserved remains of the long dead you summon a savage yet loyal brute to watch over your most precious possessions
Level: 10 Component cost: 10'000gp
3 Healing Surges.

Time: 12 hours Key Skill: Religion
Duration: Permanent
Through careful genealogical study and intense alchemical preparation you have restored the mockery of life to one of the ancient dead, this guardian mummy can be tasked only with the protection of a specific location and item and will fight to its destruction to protect it. You or those you specifically name or create a token for may pass this terrible guardian without fear.
All others are prey to its hate and madness.
Now I've only read the PHB once so don't expect this ritual to in any way be balanced or finalised so feel free to tear it to peices, AS LONG as you replace it with something constructive 8-).
It's a good, non aligned Mummy.
You need more too.
I don't know enough to design the ritual for speaking with the dead.
A higher level power to contact other plane for the Shadowfeld would also be good. Available 11th level and beyond.
I've said elsewhere that Necromancers should be able to drain negitive energy back to the Shadowfeld to negate attribute loss and level loss.
Probably negating one negitive attribute point per action point once a round at levels 1-10. At levels 11-20 they should be able to negate a negitive level per action point once a round.
