Only forum it happens in are these. Firefox version 2. When I make a post, I can't see it if I refresh the forums unless I also go in and delete my cookies (in which case I have to re-log).

just ignore it and your post will appear eventually. This is another issue with the servers being out of sync (or thats my understanding of the problem anyway). They line up eventually and invisible posts appear as if by magic.

Sigh. What's really sad is that the other servers are all fairly good at finding out about new posts—it's the server you're actually *on* that's playing dumb. (Gary's spent weeks trying to solve that problem...)
