How hard would it be to add a spell check button to this forum, so users can proof posts?

Check your browser settings.

I post in Firefox and that has a spell checker built in. Better yet it lets me set the language as 'Canadian English' and recognizes my spelling in that dialect of English.

I suspect most browsers feature something similar.

mmmm I am using Internet Explorer 6 by the all powerful Microsoft. nope no spell check here.

I have no choice in the matter either.

I would use Safari or Firefox if I could.

OS X has a spellchecker built into the standard text entry fields, so OS X browsers automatically get spellchecking (unless the browser's developer has overridden them).

IE spell

Never used it but I have heard it's decent.

What I need is a browser that handles BBCode tags for me :)

More to the point, is there a way to force a spell-checker on the boards for all the folks who can't spell. There are a few newer members that are causing my eyes to bleed when I attempt to make sense of their posts. :-\

As much as that idea is appealing to me, I'd say let's not. People have a right to be lazy and appear ignorant by not spell-checking or grammar-checking their own posts. To force this on them would be the wrong thing to do.
