How about Paizo's Pathfinder and MacFarlane Toys?

Liberty's Edge

The Nirvana Dragon prompted this issues as it looks a heck uva lot like a dragon from the MacFarlane dragon series. What better way to compete with WotC and build a broader base than to also expand into miniatures with a manufacturer whose miniatures dance in quality are D&D Miniatures.

Heck, for starters, just take the dragons that MacFarlane has already put out and go from there. And it doesn't just have to be dragons. Gods? Demigods? Giants? Runelords? Hero Packs?

I don't know if MacFarlane would be interested (or Paizo for that matter) ... oh, but what a marriage that would be!

Scarab Sages

I have considered using the McFarlane dragons as minis. They are about the right size, and look right to cover some of the planar dragons. If they could be wrangled to make some other cool minis, like gargantuan vermin (and a classic gargantuan green dragon from 3.0) I would be a happy camper indeed.

MacFarlane Dragon figs are the best! :) I use em!

Liberty's Edge

Too bad no one from Paizo has taken an interest in this inquiry.

The Exchange

McFarlane has a Fantasy line that has a cool looking ogre. Also a Dragon Rider named Tyr and a basilisk. Check it out.
I use these dragons for D&D dragons often, usually with a clear plastic circular base under their base to show the Space they take up in D&D terms.

Yeah, my father and I have thought about trying to figure out the scale for the McFarlanes, but haven't done so yet. The water clan dragons would be too awkward to use, in my opinion. But if they started making minis, it would be a day of joy and mass purchases.^^
